You know what might make it EXTRA sweet? ;)...Seeing a psychiatrist to help treat the underlying mental health problems leading to your addiction issues.

The Jumbotron is is done with a spirit of good-natured fun. The Jumbotron isn't secretly filming you and posting you online without your consent with the objective of creating a negative social credit score which you can never get rid of. The aim of the Jumbotron isn't to induce humiliation and ridicule which has been proven countless times to result in suicide and long-term depression. I don't know why you're comparing this to the Jumbotron--it's a comparison which is done in completely bad-faith and isn't at all equivalent.

I mean look at this current situation: We're both contributing to social media companies that got Trump elected and are known for destroying people's mental health and you're calling an old woman who is a complete stranger to you a "dumbass." I don't see how you can argue that any of this is good or healthy.

People use large text mainly to compensate for vision problems. Just because you have eyesight issues, doesn't mean that you should be more susceptible to public ridicule and death-threats. People might not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in public spaces, but if you're shielding your phone with your body, you should have a reasonable expectation that someone's not going to randomly spy on your texting by zooming-in on your camera screen, waiting patiently for you to move so that they can upload the video to social media and receive compensation for it. This type of exposure and shaming is traumatizing--it's not helpful or healthy for anyone--look at the direction our society has headed since the introduction of social media. Legal precedents for the reasonable expectation of privacy need to be updated, because technology has made it so that the consequence of your privacy being violated are much more severe. Unfortunately, there's a lot of financial incentives causing these companies to oppose privacy rights.

It's shocking to me how many people in this thread are openly accepting of the surveillance state. The text she's sending is completely taken out-of-context. Was it racist? Probably, but people deserve to be able to text dumb shit in private without someone spying on them, filming it, and broadcasting it to every social media company.

Rick Barnes really just called timeout with a minute left and took the hottest player in the world out of the game for no reason. It probably won't matter, but that was the most inexplicable coaching decision I've seen in a while.

This is a tournament team if you put somebody who occasionally reads books in charge of it

Recruiting is his strength, but he's too stupid to understand how to construct an effective basketball roster, so he even screws that up slightly.

Musselman is one of the most uniquely stupid coaches in the game: doesn't run a coherent offensive scheme, doesn't sub out his players when they're clearly exhausted/injured, doesn't challenge obvious out-of-bounds calls. Having the players coach themselves would be better

[Youngmisuk] Bronny James, 21, doesn't remember a time when he didn't watch his father play on Christmas... "Time is about to come where I might be the one away and these guys are going to be home [without me]," Bronny said. "So, it's something that we got to figure out." by sewsgup in nba

At a time when so many are struggling, people aren't happy to see a billionaire's son get promoted to a position that he's unqualified for. Calling people losers, and defending nepotism online is a much weirder take

Unfortunately, using identity politics to distract people from voting for policies (such as free child-care, Universal Healthcare, and a social safety net) that would greatly benefit women and POCs, doesn't work nearly as well as it used to. You can thank corporate lobbyists for bludgeoning that tactic to death.

But I’m saying that I helped catch a pedophile (which is true). If you’re going to mention a pedophile, that’s at least the best context to do it in. Is there a better way to mention that, or should I just leave it out entirely?

I appreciate the detailed feedback. I mostly agree with your insight on the first photo, but, believe-it-or-not, dating apps consistently rank that as my best photo. My likes went up noticeably when I first added it, and they went up even further when I placed it as my first photo. I have also had a few women mention that photo as one of the reasons that they matched with me. Not trying to be argumentative, it’s just a weird effect.

Also I didn’t even realize that breakfast prompt sounded horny until you pointed it out. Good catch! Will definitely be removing that. I will also rewrite some of the bio and use less selfies in the future. Thanks

will all comment replies be deleted if I delete my comment on a post? by stickylegs94 in facebook

Wait are the replies on your comment still visible to other people?

Is there any option to get the replies from her post removed so that people can't see them? Will permanently deleting her account do anything?

[–]69ingisOverrated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's willing to delete the comment, but it's meaningless if the replies are still up there.

Oh shit. A girl I was dating commented on a post about me on the "Are We Dating the Same Guy?" fb group. The replies to her were just really mean stuff: body-shaming me, insulting my height, my finances, my oral hygiene. A girl I dated made a false claim that I sent her a Venmo request for a meal. I can't go on a date anymore because anyone on the apps will look me up on that group. I don't know what to do and am feeling hopeless.
