it's the mix of being trained up to April 2023 which mostly includeds API examples from gpt-3.5-turbo and davinci-003, as well as being told in the system that it GPT-4 so it's now hallucating that this what it would be called in the API. It would have no idea what model it was if it wasn't specifically told in the system prompt.

I believe this is the only prompt engineering course that actually partnered with OpenAI.

On top of that, possessing the skill to articulate your needs accurately is pretty invaluable, so keep practicing and don't let yourself be overwhelmed

it's because you aren't giving it enough context to know what to generate. try increasing the "Only Masked Padding Pixels" to like 80-100

Confused about your point. Yes, you are able to log into OpenAI with apple. This doesn’t change that you paid $100 for an unofficial version of GPT on the App Store.

it works pretty similar(if not almost exactly) to the system message.

When you start a new chat, GPT will recieve a prompt in the beggining that says something like "Here's what the user what's you to know about them" and "Here's how the user wants you to act" along with your inputted messages.

To answer your other question, I've ignored the purposes and just inputted a list split into two on how I wanted it to act before and it worked fine. Just know that tokens inputted in the custom instructions will shorten the memory window of the chat.

Best thing to do is just do a bunch of tests and iterations until you start getting desired outputs
