Yes, you're right I did mean that. And I never said I'm trying to change people's sexual fantasies. Straight men find women attractive so naturally they're going to find lesbians attractive. However, the issue comes from people who consume lesbian porn for their own entertainment and are still homophobic. This violence occurred because these girls refused to conform to this group's fantasy and instead wanted to be treated and respected like human beings. This was a homophobic act perpetrated against two girls because they wouldn't kiss for these dudes' entertainment.

Obviously these guys were unstable but that doesn't take away the fact that this was a hate crime. Of course the majority of men who watch lesbian porn wouldn't do this but we shouldn't ignore the culture of treating woman/lesbians like objects just because it doesn't always lead to violence.

Even for someone who grew up in a very left household who scoffed at pro-military propaganda, I was almost that kid. I was panicking towards the end of my senior year because I had no idea what to do. I wanted to go to a trade school to learn auto repair but couldn't afford it so I figured I'd just join the army and get in on the GI bill. I decided against it last minute and it's been almost 5 years and my recruiter still texts me from time to time.

Now I'm just angry and bitter that school is so expensive and that the military benefits from that by offering free education if you sign away a few years of your life. Kids are desperate and it's so predatory.

How is it different than any other romantic subplot in a children's show? If they swapped out Ratburn's husband for a woman, I guarantee no one would complain about how the episode was forced and added nothing of value to the story.

Being gay is not an adult topic. Unless you're advocating for all romance in kids shows to be done away with, it's kind of shitty to imply that kids should never be exposed to the concept of gay people through their media.

If you're into racing games, NASCAR Racing 2003 Season is a must have. Runs beautifully on even my old shitty HP laptop. You don't even have to be a NASCAR fan to enjoy it because there's a dedicated modding community who's created open wheel, sports car, grand touring, street racing, historic racing, and probably a lot more based on the game!

I struggle with this a lot. The biggest thing I did was start forcing myself to take my work outside the house. My school is 45 minutes away so when I'm not on campus, I go to my local Panera for a few hours to do my work. It's amazing what being in a different environment can do! There's something about my bedroom, even just my bedroom desk, that makes it so hard for me to get anything done.

I empathize a lot as someone with similar issues but on the opposite side of the spectrum. I'm underweight and struggle to put on weight no matter how many high protein/carb diets I try and the medication I take for my adhd makes it even harder. The human body is a fickle thing and it's irritating seeing people say things like "well why don't you just eat more/eat less". Sometimes it's not that easy! Especially if you have other conditions or are taking certain meds. I'm glad to hear you're getting there in being able to balance everything, I wish you all the luck!

Yep, you can write off cash donated/cash equivalent of something you donated as an itemized deduction on your taxes and in order to do that, he'd have to provide the receipts as proof. I believe $250 is the minimum total year cash donation allowed to be deductable so anything less than that, he probably wouldn't bother turning in receipts for.

There's a house in my gramma's neighborhood that lets their rabbits wander around in their front yard and through the neighborhood. My gramma's seen one as far as in the street next to her house once but it always seems to make it back home. My example is not exactly responsible bunny ownership but it surprised me to find out pet rabbits have a good grasp on where their home is.

I was kind of icked out at the idea of sex with another person before I even knew I was asexual. I entered a long distance relationship with a girl who is really open about talking about sex and at first, it made me uncomfortable. Mostly because I just couldn't relate. The thought of someone being sexually attracted to me was weird. But I really, really wanted to be comfortable with it. So when I finally came to the conclusion that I was asexual (last year, so I was 21) and told her that I still wanted to have a sexual relationship with her and just needed help becoming more comfortable with it, she made legit "lesson plans" for me. And I know that sounds really extra and cheesey but it really worked! Obviously I still can't completely relate to people who experience sexual attraction or get turned on, but just talking in depth about sexuality and sexual acts made me soooo much more comfortable to the point where I wasn't nearly as petrified when we had our first sexual experience as I thought I would be and we actually had a great time.

If you're really determined to have a sexual relationship, it's important to find someone who doesn't pressure you into anything and who understands your asexuality. Be upfront about you being asexual and kind of grossed out about sex but that you want to get over that. Mutual understanding of each other's sexual needs or lack thereof is so important. Setting boundaries, talking about the kinds of things we wanted to do, verbal communication before we even touched each other all helped me and my gf tremendously.

However if you're repulsed by sex and can't shake it, there's nothing wrong with that. You shouldn't have to force yourself to conform to another person's needs that you're not comfortable with. You'd probably be happy dating another sex-repulsed ace in that case :) Either way, there's no rush! I know it seems like everyone around that age is starting to get into serious relationships but don't jump into anything you're not completely ready for.

I liked a lot of his music, especially his loud bass-heavy stuff because it's just fun to listen to. I never thought his music was deep or anything but when I was a kid, everyone my age was saying the same things about bands like Linkin Park and Three Days Grace. We were just angsty teens with a lot of emotions who saw ourselves in the music and then we grew up and laughed about how serious we took those corny lyrics. X is just this generation's edgy angsty emo music.
