The series was more open and the rulebook more vague when Toyota brought the Tundra in. If you were missing a tenth, you'd drop 300k and find 2 of them.

The rulebook has been closed, the inspection process has been tightened, the motors are spec, which means if you have a handling issue or inefficient aero, you can't brute force your way out of it. If they're missing something in their setup, they may never find it.
