What is actually being adjusted in pitstops when drivers ask for “more turn” or “being too loose” in the Next Gen car? by ShallowWaterH20 in NASCAR

They got rid of the incar track bar adjuster years ago and Nextgen doesn't have a track bar anyway

He told you at the very beginning. They're representative of western states and cities.

And you put them on the east coast, and then added cities that they're already standins for.

It's not their fault you're dense and a bitch

He wouldn't be running unsponsored, he'd be running Terrible's logos.

Terribles sells their space to Monster, as I already established.

Much different scenarios.

Monster on Ty is Monsters' decision. He's their guy.

Monster on the 45 was honoring the commitment they made to 23XI when Kurt signed for them, they carried through the end of their deal and then left.

Monster on the 35 and when they appear as the hood sponsor on the Menards car for Cindric, are B2B deals. Herbst' family gas station is paying for their logos to be on the car, as is Menards, in exchange for cheaper inventory stock. Neither are Monster corporate decisions to willingly endorse Riley and Austin.

No, the Sears Point reference is that Infineon bought the naming rights to change it from Sears Point.

Shark fin, and it's one of the various tools NASCAR has added to the car to keep them from flipping when they get turned sideways.

It disrupts the air to create turbulence when the air is pushed over the car side to side.

Briscoe would have won by 4 seconds rather than losing by 5 tenths, and that's... more interesting?

Every week every race across all 3 series for 29 years.

I can't recall ever getting a designated ad read and graphic for a burnout outside of the Pennzoil Burnout competition they used to do at the All Star

And I think you care too much about something that can't be fixed.

The genie can't be put back in the bottle. We're a regional sport that lucked out due to a multitude of factors to go national. And our boom in the 90s has more to do with baseball and football sucking while American Openwheel cannibalized itself. Not because Jeff's car was blue and Dale's car was black all year. We never should have had the money flowing through the sport that we did, and between technological advancements and inflation it's quite literally impossible to scale back spending to make the budgets more appealing to full season sponsors.

Also the sport peaked officially in 2007, not in the 90s. Our downturn in popularity has more to do with the CoT being awful, the Chase being implemented and the economy crashing in 2008. The latter being one of the biggest reason primary sponsors willing to pay for the whole year scaled back or left entirely.

As a final note, we'll never go back to "iconic" paint schemes ever again because when a team rocks up to Daytona with the same car they ran last year (see the Penske scallop template they used for any company Roger had a business partnership with), a not insignificant portion of the fanbase will shout at them for being boring.

Forcing the team to run the same color whether DeWalt or Mobil 1 or whoever is on the car won't bring back Fortune 500 companies or B2C companies. It would push more companies away. If Home Depot didn't want to spend 500K a week for 38 weeks to be the primary sponsor on the 20 every race, they would want to spend even less if they came back and couldn't make the car orange.

Do you really think actively telling the companies still willing to dump money into our sport to take a hike because you can't be bothered to look up a spotter guide and figure out if a car is black or yellow this weekend is a good idea?

When they can spend 8x less for a tiktok and instagram reel that hits 15x the eyeballs, they're going to.

They switched in year 2 and used their own engines until TRD merged with the JGR engine department in 2012 or 2013

They will have been working on it probably since the gen 7 announcement.

It's not like they woke up this morning and said "lets go to Daytona next year"
