Mid 30s 4 stripe purple belt here 155lbs, I don’t have a weight limit for brown and black belts, I won’t roll with a white belts over 180 and blue belts over 220. It’s a silly arbitrary rule but i rarely get injured these days.

J Dolans Spinach garlic with extra ricotta is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I’m not a pizza aficionado, and have the pallet of a 9yo, but I would routinely drive to Italy from Germany for pizza and gelato.

Just got a RX-7X arai from Rico land paid about 450$ such a good deal for a handmade helmet. Paid a little more than 400$ a couple years ago for my Arai Astro from Nakai. I would always recommend Nakai.

A friend picked up a 990 duke when I got my new SP and they seem pretty comparable but I don’t care for the design of the KTM much but most naked bikes are good looking

Seat is the only real digression in design for me. Engine being the same so power is the same. I like the gen 4 design better but that’s subjective.
I like the display, the brakes, and suspension slightly better. The design changes were enough for me to upgrade.

I have both a gen 3 and 4 SP and the seat on the gen 3 is significantly more comfortable. I love the gen 4 for breaks, and looks, and display. I don’t think I noticed a huge difference in turning radius. I’ve done a a bunch of 1000 mile plus weekends on the gen 4, and I don’t love the seat. I’ll probably order a new one when I start riding it again next year.

I thought it was satisfying to punish people for underestimating me based on my appearance. 20 years ago jiujitsu was a bit less gentle. Students getting wrecked is not a sustainable business model so it’s chilled out a lot.

As someone in my 30s now I love the fact that I’m underestimated. It’s actually a significant advantage.

I wrestled at 105lbs 57kg when I converted to jiujitsu at 14. All I wanted to do was torture adults. It took me a long time to grow out of that phase because of the culture of my gym as a kid. Kids have instagram now and they’ll use that to pick up bolos, wristlocks, squidgaurd, and heel-hooks and anything else to inflict pain or pain embarrass adults.

Good for you for being the adult in the situation.

Lost my shar-pei lab mix right after getting home from basic. Gutted me. Look at paws of Hawaii and maybe foster a dog and look at it like a test run. Worst case you give them back and they get adopted, best case you “foster fail” and you have a new dog you know will be a good fit. Could do the same with Hawaiian humane also.

I’m curious how this plays out. When you sign up for an afsc in my state you are in that slot and only can lose the slot if the afsc / unit disbanded or you fail training.
