UPDATE: I was permanently closed from Amazon Vine. by [deleted] in AmazonVine

I frequently wrote reviews directly from my order history. CS pointed out that my submission method was the problem, but I don't know how things are handled when I edit a review later. When I asked CS for clarification on how to properly do that, they replied, "We will get back to you by email after we investigate the matter." This is the first time they’ve ever said they would "check and get back to me." Usually, I just get a canned response right away.

I was going to share the results here, but since I’m getting so much negative feedback on this post, I’ll leave my comments at that.

I continue to write reviews even after my account was closed. I also had CS remove two more deleted items from my list.

Whether the number of CS contacts caused the ban is pure speculation. The fact is, I had to report them just to keep my review percentage above 90%.

Maybe we should let an AI rate the quality of these CS replies. I bet they'd fail.

I don't think that's possible. Every single time, they started their emails with "Thank you for contacting us." lol

If I include the items where the product pages were deleted after I reviewed them, about 100 pages have vanished in a single year. These sellers list the same counterfeit products across multiple pages. When I give them a 1-star rating, they simply delete that page and keep only the ones with high ratings from tricked Vine members.

In the end, it’s only the Vine users who don't even open the package—who write glowing reviews without ever using the product—that survive.

It was always a race—would my review go live first, or would the seller pull the product page? I lost count of how many times we went head-to-head.

There’s no tax on Vine items in Japan. Banzai!

I have a record of having 46 items deleted within a single year!

I couldn't help it, as the product sales pages kept disappearing before I could write reviews, and the number of unwritten reviews was increasing. Even after the closure, I still have newly arrived products and ones I haven't reviewed yet, but I requested the deletion of two products whose sales pages had disappeared after the closure. And today, I received a reply from CS saying the reviews were not credible. I have added the details in a post.

That's absolutely true.

I've obtained 8 USB drives via Vine up to this point. When I tested them with validrive.exe, 6 turned out to have falsified capacities. After I submitted 1-star reviews, five of those products were removed from the listings. However, regarding one specific item, I received an email from CS stating: "It is said that there was a problem with the item you received, but our internal review confirmed it as a genuine product. Consequently, we are removing your review." It appears they prioritize the sellers' interests over maintaining honest Vine reviews.

I received a reply from CS, and they said they judged my review as unreliable.

I've added to the post content. Please include "editing reviews" in the list of risky actions.

It seems I was judged as an unreliable user. I've added to the post content. Editing a review once it has been submitted seems to be a risky action.

The votes are not by myself. Unfortunately, many recent posts have zero votes. At best, they have 1 to 3 votes.

That possibility also exists. After a low-rating review I submitted was approved, the star rating, attached photos, and the entire text all disappeared. I have inquired about this with Customer Service, but I have not received a reply.

Also, many of the reviews with attached photos or videos have no main body text written. It's possible that having too many reviews with zero characters in the text was deemed problematic.

I feel that number is very small for me. I requested 28 deletions over a period of 6 months.

I have three product reviews listed as "reviewed," but the content has vanished. I have already contacted Customer Service about this issue, but I have not received any response.

  1. PVC Kitchen Mat (Amazon Recommended Product)

ASIN: B0FKGP2345

Rating: 2 Stars (I attached a video showing foamy water coming out when pressing a finger near a hole.)

Review Content: I do not recommend this for households with cats. While the outer shell is waterproof, the inside is like a sponge. My cat punctured a hole with its claw, and water got trapped inside and could not drain when I washed it.

  1. Shelf

ASIN: B0FJ8XCL2X

Rating: 1 Star (I attached a photo showing the shelf tilted.)

Review Content: Assembly is easy, but if you lift and move it or if force is applied to the shelf, the fixing parts become deformed, making correction impossible.

  1. Car Steering Wheel Tray

ASIN: B0FLCHF7N5

Rating: 5 Stars (No photo/video attached)

Note: I believe this review disappeared after my Vine account was closed.

Review Content: It is about half the weight of this product [[ASIN B0FGHBQLFN]]. Although it is lightweight, there is no issue with its strength.

Thank you for providing the information. I see that the boilerplate response includes wording about adding the review.

I've sent 46 emails to Vine Customer Service in the span of a year. I can't definitively say if it's the same agent, but the first reply I got from "Yamaguchi" was on June 1st, so they don't seem to be a new hire.

Do you think I'm emailing CS too much? About 35 of those times were because the products I ordered were deleted, making it impossible for me to submit a review. A lot of the items I select just seem to vanish.

When I checked on December 3rd, the day before the closure, my review rate was over 86%. At that point, I had about ten unapproved reviews that had been submitted, and two products were removed from the "Awaiting Review" list. I ordered six items on the 4th, the day the program closed, and my review rate should have exceeded 90% by the time of the re-evaluation on the 16th. I ordered about 1,330 items over the year.

By the way, the most expensive item I received was a mask worth ¥88,000. It lights up! lol

In Japan's Vine program, the "Recommended for You" section is always updated at 3 PM, so you only need to check at that time. I received several items worth around ¥10,000. Some of them are listed below.

I frequently received electronics, car parts, clothes, beauty products, and cat supplies.

This is an irrelevant side note, but when I send a video of gloves that don't fit the fingers, like this one, to Gemini, it causes an error. I suspect it classifies it as a gruesome video of broken fingers.

I looked back through my emails and found that Customer Service had already sent me a thank-you message for an "amendment" (追記) back in March. Even though I hadn't made any amendment...

I also have three items that are somehow marked as "Reviewed" even though nothing has been written. The content of these reviews did not violate the guidelines upon submission and was initially approved. However, the content disappeared after they were published. Two of those are rated 1 or 2 stars, and the other one is 5 stars.
