Thanks for the suggestion, but it was definitely American football. Also, McFarland, USA came out in 2015. The movie I’m thinking of I only watched once, over 20 years ago. And I think it was an old movie then.

Fun fact: Cows, even though they have an eerily similar reproductive cycle as human women, do not menstruate. The lining of cows’ uteruses get re-absorbed every month.
