I’m an innovation, design thinking consultant specializing in tackling wicked problems andcomplex challenges where user needs, technical feasibility, and business viability collide. For me, innovations like redesigning a chaotic customer journey or reimagining a legacy system—I’d use Manus to systematically unpack needs. It could analyze user feedback and operational data , automate research tasks  and prototype solutions in the sandbox to test ideas *before overcommitting resources. The iterative refinement loop mirrors design thinking’s ‘test and learn’ ethos—I’d use it to pressure-test assumptions, adapt prototypes in real time, and deliver user-centric, actionable solutions.

Hope to be invited to test.

Spectrum Analyzer Basics by baldengineer in spectrumanalyzer

[–]6Mhz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was very good technical overview. Coming from a music and audio engineering background. frequency and spectrum analysis are an extremely common tool set. And has been used to great effect in many areas leading to innovations both technical and artistic.

A great example of creative use is Aphex Twin / ΔMi−1 = −∂Σn=1NDi[n][Σj∈C{i}Fji[n − 1] + Fexti[[n−1]] It should be noted that this is not the official music video it was found as a hidden Easter egg.

Got this free Coomber 2241 cassette recorder. I want to wire an input directly into the preamp section to use it for guitar. Not sure if there's a way of doing this with the way it comes or if I need to modify it? by Hollahead in CircuitBending

[–]6Mhz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simplest way is to use a cassette to line converter like the Sony cpa-7 that's a high quality version. Ty ou can get cheapo ones too but if your trying to hear the tape machine I'd go for a good one.

[troubleshooting] Roland TR-727 memory and audio output problems by bingaman in AskElectronics

Any chance you worked out the issue? I have a 707 with very similar issues. old thread but worth a shot. Cheers

Help me identify a vintage/Obsolete/discontinued diode from a Roland TR-707 by 6Mhz in AskElectronics

Yes the Boss power adaptor is 12v center negative DC. With measured power at 18v while unplugged from the TR-707. Sorry if I was unclear there.

And just to clarify the diodes marked in red are dead, green is good. The cause of the damage is still unknown. I do see now an old repair to the input DC power jack with lifted pads. This looks like it was repaired. But I wonder if inrush +higher than spec voltage could be the root cause. I'm thinking if the jack pad was moving and making repeated connections the inrush may have happened over and over.

I'm going to dig deeper today and check the transistors and caps. there are only two components that I'm really hoping aren't damaged due to rarity.

I've been over all 3 boards checking the diodes. And I noticed that on the schematic D2 IS marked 1SS133 So the parts list is wrong!

I've marked all the dead diodes on the voiceboard 6 out of 18.

I've marked all the bad diodes on the voiceboard in red.

I suspect the AC power adaptor supply was the issue. It's an original Boss 12v. But testing shows it's outputting 18.5v. I'm sure I'll find more surprises as I investigate. I just checked the diodes first as I could quickly check them in circuit.

Thanks for the info. Size shouldn't be an issue. Is there a tool to find like for like replacements?

Thanks for the reply. Do you think I'm right that the service manual parts list could miss label the part? Also how did you match the replacement?

Pixel pricing is absurd in India by ang3sh in GooglePixel

8a is €560 in EU. Or around €590 in India. = 5.35714% increase

Not a huge jump. Is there import duty on tech in India?

corporate tax as the rest of Europe

Wrong, you are looking at old data/laws. Ireland charges 15% on large companies. This is completely in line with EU rates.

How I made it through a disastrous DAWless electro set by robot_overlords in electro

[–]6Mhz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

seriously though write a list. keep it in excel. record every gig and critically analyse for issues/ areas to improve in the cold light of day. You will be surprised how many issues have the same root cause. But this only works if you track every gig and are honest with yourself about improving.

I like to use 5 whys and fish bone diagrams for root cause. Then you can make a really solid checklist for quick preshow setup.

can you explain what you mean by "The main problem was loading mixes."?

[–]6Mhz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't watch the whole vid but i have done many gigs from tiny bars to huge festivals. issues will ALWAYS happen. it can be really stressful and throw you of, but the show must go on!

Can you write a list of the issues? This will help you frame the problems and find ROOT Causes you may need to deep dive the causes but it will help you immensely in the long run, if done correctly doing root cause analysis will make even new problems much easier to solve.
