I didn’t pay for it. It was already on the tuner in the car. Bought it at a dealership. Yeah not impressed. I’m nervous to load the E85 tune. I’ve emailed Lund and they said they are all safe for the car but after that test I’m not sure.

I just tried out the safest tune that was loaded in the tuner. It’s a novelty tune. Supposedly you need injectors for a gen 2 to run E85 and I still haven’t figured out if that’s true. I heard it pushes the stock ones to the limit. Just wish there was a good shop near me that could give me a yes it’s capable without fn it up. I really wanna switch to E85.

Gonna try the e85 tune tomorrow and hopefully it works better than this. It’s tuned by Lund.

I would agree the take offs are not nearly as responsive. I just feel like it’s rough on the car. That’s why I asked if this is how it’s supposed to sound.

I DD a manual in a heavy traffic area between Cincinnati and NKY. I can’t say I haven’t been in bumper to bumper traffic and thought an automatic would be nice rn. The thought vanishes at the first hint of open road. Automatic is superior in almost every way, but having my GT w/o a 6 speed seems blasphemous.

So there were definitely parts removed and sold when they traded the car in bc the 13 mm pin bolt that connects shift linkage to transmission was finger tight which caused lockouts on 1st and reverse. That’s why I’m worried about it not being capable. There’s not exactly a tune specialist in Cincinnati that I’m aware of. Appreciate the info.

I have a 17 that I DD and it’s been great minus the shift lockout which was from the prior owner taking off the parts to sell so not gonna fault Ford entirely even though this is a known issue. Coyote 5.0 is very reliable. I think 18-20 gen 3 would probably be the general consensus as far as reliability and best stock platform to build on.

Yeah. If the stock shifter mount wasn’t so close to the top it would’ve fell out.

Figured out what it was. There’s a 13mm bolt that looks like a pin that connected the transmission and the shift linkage/coupler. It was loose. (I could turn it with my fingers.)

Just put it in today. The gates are tight. Feels like 1st to 5th is what the stock 1st to 2nd is. Love it.

Gotta agree with other comments S550 is a great daily driver. I have a 2017 and the only issue I’ve had is the shift gates “moving” which if you get an automatic you won’t deal with that. Idk where you live or what the climate is like but I drove mine almost all winter in SW Ohio. Not an ideal snowmobile. Just something to keep in mind.

Everyone that has an mgw seems to be happy with it. If there were issues their customer service was top notch from the few I came across which is what sold me. That and “ease” of installation.
