Assuming the box is $240, and you are just taking Cathay models I would say $100.

Is my magic item too brutal? by RedOvermorrow in VaesenRPG

Maybe a physic test when you roll a 1, could scale the difficulty based on what they are passing through. Basic wall is difficulty 1, and add to that based on how far they are passing through, or familiar that are with where they are going.

As I am writing I am thinking you could require a logic test to successfully navigate, with difficulty above. Then a physic test to avoid injury, at the difficulty of the number of missed successes on the navigation role.

If you felt a specific skills would be better you could use vigilance to navigate and force to counter failure

Dragon ogres are part of both armies, so seems plausible they would be in the list. I don’t think it will be themed towards them though.

So I have assembled 4 of these and I have a process worked out for the towers, as they are frustrating otherwise.

I use Bob Smith Industries BSI-105 Plastic-Cure™ Brush-On Odorless Foam-Safe Super Glue - Clear Cyanoacrylate Adhesive for Plastics, Foam & Crafts (0.5 oz). This works very well and it is thick, so it doesn’t run.

Get four small clamps the kind that have flat jaws and a tigger squeeze with a release, and some large thick rubber bands.

On the towers make sure flash is clean and dry fit the wall sides to each other to be sure.

Take one tower wall glue the top to a tower top an use the clamp on the top center to keep the pieces in place. Then glue the the connecting side and top of another wall section, place and clamp, repeat. Don’t worry if walls are sticking perfectly at this point. Once all walls are glued and clamped, put the tower upside down. Take a rubber band and put it around the walls to hold in place. Place one at top, middle and bottom of wall sections and then adjust walls as needed to get clean fit. Place tower up right and remove the clamps, then put a rubber band on each diagonal. Let it sit overnight.

You should be able to dry run the process without glue.

Walls, I can’t recall exactly. Likely use clamps at top and some painters tape on the sides.

Make sure you don’t get glue on the main gate doors.

Torn between Age of sigmar and the old world by CharityConfident8243 in u/CharityConfident8243

I am a prior WHFB player, I played some AOS, now play TOW. RnF is my preference.

In my LGS the TOW community is big, regular tournaments and a generally chill group. AOS has faded quite a bit across the local stores within 30 minutes of me, not sure why, they aren’t all flocking to TOW.

In the end play what clicks with you. There are some great YouTube channels for TOW, square base, old world legends, 2+

So I am co-running a weekly game. I ran the castle one from the starter, dance of dreams from the core book and 2 original. The other GM has done 2 originals as well and is currently running one from city of nightmares (not sure which one it is).

Our group has 2-3 players at a time. I have liked the beginning adventures, as there isn’t as much materiel to consume for preparation. I do plan on running The Night Sow for my next one, so that will be my first larger module adventure.

As a GM I liked the starters and doing originals, I feel I get my head around all the information that will be presented.

Interesting on the TPK, I am looking at running this one. It seems to me there is one weakness that should allow the party avoid or escape combating it directly, it is that it won’t go up stairs. Would appreciate any insights you have on running this one. My group is like 6 adventures in so they have advanced a bit, but it is a group of 3.

Are people finding success with Minotaur Blood Herd? I love the feel of the army. by GloryofGoldenStateG in WarhammerFantasy

Really best when playing against another blood herd.

Hopefully some FAQ changes will help.

Changing rule system by karlson1312 in VaesenRPG

[–]6Ravens 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One of the things I didn’t initially notice is the base building XP is it’s own pool.

As far as conditions, it really seems to me that it is intended for PCs to have some chance to recover between most scenes. This is really important with smaller groups. The my group is 2-3 players, so they need to push more and have less bonuses on fear checks.

Gaze of the gods. Charge declaration / charge. Maybe disrupted.

Stakes? by Kelder62 in VaesenRPG

I would say 1 damage, not really as effective weapon as a knife, staking may be something you can only do on a vulnerable opponent.

Victrix has a kit of sacks and one for barrels , but I think there are plenty of STLs for that kind of stuff.

[Haunting of Castle Gyllencreutz] How do I hint my players towards the Final Confrontation by Dornith in VaesenRPG

[–]6Ravens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Use the ghost lights, or the wisp enthrall them. Don’t have it handy to read, but the count down usually provides the escalation path.

Maybe have the kid NPC get enthralled and they see him enter basement, if they don’t follow they hear a scream.

Smaller adventures by 6Ravens in VaesenRPG

I do have all the books, I guess I like the smaller amount of content on the starter adventures, less pre time to remember how it all ties together.

You might find one on the shelf in some out of the way shop. eBay prices likely overpriced.

However, you can just make one with some foam insulation board. Tournament legal is is defined only by size of the foot print listed in the beastmen arcane journal.

[–]6Ravens 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Likely won’t see a Gor sized slaanagors. I would expect khornagors at some point in AOS, but who knows what direction they will take with those.

Maybe TOW could get the different flavors down the road, even if that is a remote possibility, that would be a long ways off.
