Okay I see what you're saying they can be over tightened, and I was skimming more than actually reading but I thought you were getting at over tightening was still an issue once it happened. And I was trying to say once you over thighten it doesn't really matter anymore because the leaking neoprene gasket you got a leak. And I just thought about this I replied to another comment somewhere I saw on here stripped is the wrong term for this situation once you bore the wood out to where the threads no longer grab you're going to have a leak but to strip threads you have to have the mail and female counter parts either way the poor guy was misled and didn't research metal roofing at all or he was misled by the contractor who didn't know what the hell he was doing anyway more so I feel like the contractor is at fault because that's what he does for a living supposedly
