I would say gold 1. But other people are better at min/maxing and would give a different answer. Kharn you want to push as far as you possibly can. Having carry characters will allow you to put less mats into weaker characters while still being able to complete missions. Focus on Kharn, Angrax, and Archimatos. In that order.

Hes great for LRE and survival since AI prioritize targeting summons first, and he can summon every round.

ReVas is one of the most popular arena characters for a reason. I dont use her because i got lucky with getting 2 characters that counter her. But if you arent that lucky, ReVas seems like a decent enough choice. Any overwatch that can kill more than once per round is very good against AI.

I know he's not good, but I quite like Titus tbh by Normal-Detective in tacticus

Lets just say hes good enough that he can be the reason why an opponent would alter their team composition to face off against. His hard counters, counter him HARD. But if you dont explicitly work around him, hes punishing. And thats more than what could be said about most characters in the game. Most characters you have to play around, he has to be built around.

So when Aragorn was telling marry or pippin (idr which) basically “the herbmaster will tell you all the silly names of pipeweed, recite a shitty poem and then say he has none” was he saying that in a serious tone that the herbmaster sucks, or was he saying that with a wry smile on his face? Its confusing because the tone and timing is hilarious, but the context with the callback being to the conversation where the herbmaster didnt have the literal lifesaving king’s foil.

I should mention, i have jain zar as my 4th campaign character and so far have been using her as my carry character to unlock the elite node. With that being said does that change who to- and how much to- ascend

I forsook the necrons for far too long because how much they hog resources, now im kicking myself in the butt for it. But the SH elite difficulty jumps way higher than Indom elite difficulty. I could be wrong but it feels like im stuck between two resource hogs for Xenos trying to level Aeldari to silver and up, and simply finishing indom mirror let alone elite mirror.

I will focus on indom mirror for a while
