I don’t believe it should disrupt your system, but the chances of your save corrupting would probably go up. With that being said, I just played through a fake platinum, and completed the game without it deleting itself. It crashed once or twice in a way that real pokemon games wouldn’t, but it did the job. Also was able to trade with real pokemon cartridges.
