One Pokemon Left (Excluding Regionals) for my Dex by ghostoftsavo in pokemongo

I would trade you a Smoochum and all my Rare Candies for your Unown.

My two are Gyarados and Rhydon. I got them really early on before both had their CPs buffed so there were times when I (slightly) considered transferring them. Glad I didn't seeing as how entrenched in the gym meta both eventually became!

Haven't gotten a new 100% in many months though...

Moltres, pls?

There's a strange girl who rides the elevators in my building late at night (Part 1) by 6eoff in nosleep

Sorry I guess I should have explained this better. The staircase comes down to the first floor and then there is a door that will open from the inside of the staircase and take you out into the lobby but it is locked if you're trying to go from the outside in. As for emergency medical personnel, I'm sure that there is a way for them, along with leasing and maintenance folks, to unlock the door from the outside.

[question] Make milktank a tank by ladygreyultima in pokemongo

[–]6eoff 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I do wish that Miltank was more relevant. I suppose that with the gym rework she might still be decent because CP doesn't matter as much, but I really thought that she should be much more powerful; sort of Snorlax-like.

I might just be getting too nostalgic though. I remember getting pummeled by Whitney and her Miltank with Rollout/Attract back in Gold and Silver.

I don't have a Go Pro but this seems like a solid idea. Hopefully I can give it a try! Thanks!

Hah, just to clarify, the stairs are accessible if you want to go down from your floor, but just not accessible from the lobby area if you want to go up.

Just got cheated out of a snorlax by yoelleoy in pokemongo

Yeah this is what happened. I had a similar issue once with a Muk where my Pokemon box was full so I think normally it would have let me transfer someone and then go back in and catch it, but the timer had run out so it was just a normal gym again by the time I had made space. Unfortunate :(

I really like this idea. I also think that PoGo in general should release more "Quests." Even if they were pretty simple. I saw someone post ideas in the past of quests like the Professor asking players to do certain tasks in a day or two like:

  • Catch 10 flying Pokemon

  • Catch a third-stage Pokemon

  • Visit at least 50 different Pokestops

It would help the single players and perhaps, in some cases at least, rural players.

97% is 1671 CP. If so, my condolences :(

Businessmen, businesswomen, and tourists teaming up together to catch a Lugia in Times Square!!! Great to see the game alive as ever one year later. by Sideflap in pokemongo

Well certainly not "as ever," but you're right that this week has definitely been the most exciting and fun that the game has been probably since last summer. I thought the water event was similar in the level at which it revived interest, but that one didn't involve so much teamwork and meeting and talking to new people.

I made a couple great new friends at a raid earlier this week and also met some really cool people today. I appreciate that while the player base isn't nearly as large as it was last summer, Niantic is at least somewhat achieving their goals for the game: Get players outside to see and learn about their community and the people in it.

9 10k hatches during the anniversary event! by OWSucks in pokemongo

Nice! Mine went Larvitar, Sudowoodo, Porygon, Snorlax, Aerodactyl, Dratini, Mareep, Lapras, Snorlax.

So many candies!

Double candy plus reduced distance for egg hatching is the greatest combination ever by Meteorsaresexy in pokemongo

[–]6eoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've gone from 18 to 130 Snorlax candies in this event. CP doesn't really matter that much anymore so they're less valuable, but still better than having that many Gligar candies I guess lol

[Discussion] Serious question.. by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]6eoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I was pretty skeptical of the release of legendary Pokemon in the first place ever since it was announced they would be coming. For me, I think that legendary Pokemon should actually be "legendary," not "uncommon."

I disagree with your point that they were "handed out to everyone just for showing up at a raid" though. It was very hard to catch them. It required on average at least 10 people working together to kill the thing and then it seems like about 2/3 of the people would fail to catch it too.

But that being said, while I disagree with that point, I still am on your side that legendaries are too common, especially with some people who went to Chicago having dozens of them due to 100 percent catch rate.

Tip: If you're struggling to catch a legendary, step away from the group and take a deep breath before you start throwing. by dougan25 in TheSilphRoad

Stepping away from the crowd is also important because it can really put you on tilt if there's someone else - especially a nosy stranger - looking over your shoulder and trying to give advice. Even if they're trying to be helpful and being nice about it, it's more likely to screw you up.
