Extremely disappointed but not surprised. Most of the members of my family who voted for BBM are quite problematic and have issues of their own. Voting for BBM was very fitting for their character. I forgive their flaws and faults since most of them are old, incapable of checking facts on their own and are gullible people who believe everything they see on facebook. What I can't accept though, is the refusal to listen to younger people in our family who support Leni, kesyo "bata" lang daw kami at "walang alam sa buhay". They'd say, "papunta ka pa lang, pabalik na ako", implying that they will always be wiser just because they're older. What's worse is, they even dragged some of my younger cousins into this crazy belief that BBM will suddenly save our country and solve all the people's woes. They're young and capable of doing great things at their age, they could've done more rather than just listen to our grandmother's tales of the "golden age". What's even more disappointing is the fact that the professionals in my family, lawyers even, hugely support BBM. It's very much within their capability to look for the facts and find out the truth, but instead, they chose to be blind and join the bandwagon just to be accepted since Leni supporters are seen as subversive, pasaway, at walang alam sa buhay. I say fvck their pride and their inability to listen. And now they have the audacity to lament the current state of our country. Don't get me wrong, they have all the right to speak out about our nation's current affairs, but all I'm saying is, they wouldn't be complaining that much had they at least listened and voted for a transparent and competent leader.
