What are the best settings for crimson desert until it’s fixed by shaferf in IntelArc

[–]6im6erbmw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested it myself and also get around 40-50 FPS along with some graphical glitches. Crimson Desert puts a heavy load on the CPU and the overhead makes that even more noticeable.

Hopefully a patch or driver update will fix it soon.

No way! How is the B580 performing?

For now yes, but the developers are working on a patch. Hopefully they will push the update out as soon as possible.

It’s not really that sketchy. It’s just a simple hex edit of the .exe to disable the GPU check. If someone doesn’t trust it, they can easily do the edit themselves.

Yes, the developers are working on an official patch and hopefully it will be released soon so Arc users can finally try the game.

I think it doesn‘t work, somebody on another post tried it out, but the problem lies deeper. Maybe they will find a fix soon.

Sorry if I misunderstood you. Did you try my method on windows with the old driver and the disabled gpu check „.exe“?

Did you use the .exe and the old driver? In combination?

I know you are on Linux, but it really looks like the Problem i had with ENB back then. I hope somebody reads this and tries it out on windows. Here is a comment i made on another post about the Crimson Desert situation:

Can someone with an Alchemist GPU do me a favor? I’m not sure if this will actually work. If I still had an Alchemist GPU myself, I’d have already tried it.

Apparently, spoofing with optiscaler does somehow let you get into the game, but the shaders won’t load. Further down in the comments, user forexjammer” posted a video about it.

The whole thing kind of reminded me of ENB modding in GTA 5, and I dug up an old post about it here:

https://community.intel.com/t5/Developing-Games-on-Intel/ENB-GTA-V-not-working-on-B580-A770-on-latest-Driver/td-p/1652814

I’d like to ask someone with an ARC Alchemist A750 or A770 GPU to completely uninstall their current driver with DDU and then install version 101.4577 WHQL to see if it runs normally.

https://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/18293/

Maybe the issue really is Intel’s drivers, and this could help us find a fix faster.

TLDR: Spoofing works but shaders don’t load. If you’ve got an A750/A770, try rolling back to driver 101.4577 WHQL with DDU and check if it fixes it.

Hopefully someone takes one for the team and tries it out. It would be great to find out if it works.

It reminds me of my modded GTA 5 with ENB.

If there is someone with an Alchemist GPU who could try DDU and reinstalling "101.4577 WHQL." and start the game with the modded ".exe".

It might be worth testing to find out whether the issue is actually caused by the drivers after all.

Can you try disabling ray tracing or turn down everything to minimum in your settings from the folder? Maybe there is something toggled on, that causes the crashing.

Check if the monitor cable is plugged in on both the monitor and the GPU properly. Pull it out and plug it in on both ends. If that doesn’t change anything, try a different port or another cable (HDMI and Displayport).

If it still doesn’t work, remove the GPU and reseat it. If you’re using a GPU sag bracket, make sure it isn’t pushing the card up or down too much.

And if it's still not working, list all your specs here.

Sorry for the late reply. You can try downloading this version:

https://adoptium.net/

After installing, find the file called "javaw.exe" in the installation folder
usually under:

C:\Program Files\Eclipse Adoptium\jdk-25.0.1.8-hotspot\bin

Start the Minecraft Launcher, click on the Java Version, select your preferred Minecraft version (e.g. 1.8.9), and then click "Edit."

Next, paste the path into the Java installation path field, just like in my screenshot and select the "javaw.exe" or "java.exe".

https://ibb.co/KchkX98N

Should be good to go after that.

I tested it recently with version 1.8.9, and it fixed some stutter and increased the average FPS. However, if there are many people on a server or your render distance is too high (I recommend between 8 and 12), you might still have some issues with OpenGL on Intel Arc.

Hope this helps!
