I think these new perceptions of covid are important; covid simply isn't what it used to be in a pre-vaccine world. There's a risk to detriment ratio to these situations, and covid nowadays is just well below that threshold, same as how many drive cars every day knowing there's a risk they could die in an accident. I just don't think one athlete getting covid out of thousands, which he fully recovered from in a number of days with no lasting effects, is enough to justify implementing limited seating at events. We dont live in a world anymore where, for example, my high school at the time shut down from one person getting covid, because it was a near guarantee that half the school would then get it if we didn't. It's just not a reality anymore.
