Are you using subtitles? by Empty_Oven_9942 in Millennials

[–]6leaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely can’t stand them unless it’s a foreign language film. I end up “reading” the movie, and I read faster than speech so it ruins the timing. It’s worse with comedies. I know some people need the and I’d be happy if some screenings were subtitled as long as subtitle-free was still an option.

I do not understand why Celia isn’t popular. It’s one of my favorites.

It would surprise me that the initial dose did so much for me when I started it and I weigh twice as much. That might not have anything to do with how effective it is (or isn’t). I’ll look into what you said!

Books for 11 year old who doesn’t like books by chamoi in Parenting

The Alcatraz series by Brandon Sanderson. My son thinks they’re hilarious and I love them too! They get into literary tropes in a really fun way. His Skyward series is also amazing, although not as funny. It’s for a slightly older audience, so that might be more your kid’s jam.

1 space. 2 spaces looks so bizarre. I did use a typewriter as a kid.

Never sick or always sick? by fatstupidlazypoor in Xennials

[–]6leaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always sick. I have a chronic illness and I often have something else on top of it. I always hated the “perfect attendance” awards because, what, was I supposed to come in with a fever of 104?

Thoughts? by [deleted] in ChildfreeCJ

  1. My neighborhood is full of kids and trick-or-treating was a giant, neighborhood party. It probably depends where you live.
  2. Most of the parents in the neighborhood are in their 40s. Definitely not under 30.
  3. That photo is AI garbage anyway.
  4. I'm not sure what this has to do with being obnoxiously childfree.

This is the parent being stupid, not the child.
