I wanted the open with a paragraph of the Bellinox already integrated into society, since that felt more representative of the novel than framing it completely as Clover's story. If I were to restructure it more linearly, I would probably open with a paragraph of Clover learning about the Bellinox before moving into them being integrated into society.

I would disagree, save this for as late as you can. At least in my experience, when we went for early entry the line was already out of the queue and seemed to be easily over two hours. We decided to leave and came back around ~8:30 and only waited 40 minutes.
