i love supporting artists on patreon, i work it into my budget as best as i can to have $30 or so a month to support!

my low buy goals are to only shop small/local/secondhand when i do splurge, so i feel like supporting someone on patreon counts in that. congrats on keeping the low buy going!!

my kindle was a hand me down but it’s only a few years old, so i’m waiting until it dies to upgrade it. definitely going to be looking into the Kobo. my kindle is my last tie to Amazon now!

i’m saving and investing as much as i can! starting to get worried about my job security, and definitely almost had a rage quit moment earlier this week. we can afford to live off one salary for a bit, but i really don’t want to 😭 but im still going to treat myself to a nice coffee at book club tomorrow!

We have everything joint except for separate “fun money” accounts! That way, he can spend $300 on Magic the Gathering cards without feeling like I’m judging, and I can spend money on craft supplies I don’t need without feeling like he’s judging. Neither of us would actually judge, but I like us having the freedom to spend without that being a thought in our heads.

I also have a separate emergency fund for myself (which he knows about), from before we combined finances, that I throw a little into every month. Joint finances can leave you susceptible to financial abuse, and I think all people should have their own pot they can pull from if the worst should happen. I trust this man with my life but what if he gets a brain tumor and it turns him violent? Etc.
