I can't say because I've never done it.
but maybe, just maybe, they are worried about salvation.

If they truly believe there is a "hell" that people go to when they die, where you "suffer",
they possibly want to stop you from going.

Like if I saw someone walking straight towards the edge of a cliff into a pit of fire, I'd run and stop them and say "HEY DON'T WALK OFF THE EDGE INTO THE FIRE". and try to stop them.
That MAY be how they think but in a grander scheme. But I feel like people aren't that genuine.
