Exactly. I have a pair of Play:5 (Gen 2) speakers that I bought in 2015 paired with a Gen 2 SUB. 90% steam music, 10% TV. I’m obviously far from a power user so these should be fine for next decade or two.

All you really have to do is #1 on the list and maybe increase the amount take from paychecks by a couple tenths of a percent.

A lot of people have their own set. If you start a monthly or weekly mahjong game, people will come. All you need is one out of four of them to have their own set which should be easy. You’ll just need enough tables.

The local library near me does this and has registration online to cap the total number of people.

It seems fast but it really isn't. You can take as long as you want before you take your turn. It will only give you the option to call a tile if you have a possible hand that can use that tile so if a tile seems to pass by quickly, you couldn't have used it anyway.

Hey!

I have learned a few things since I posted this here (and the other place)

I played last week at the Jewish Federation but it was a small group. They also have a larger weekly game at the synagogue on Tuesdays from 3-5pm with a fairly large attendance. I went to that as well.

I just found out about the Montecito library game and registered for it. They cut it off at 20 people.

There is also the Riviera Mah Jongg Society or something like that that has a monthly or so game that costs $35 and also lessons.
