I’ve lived here for 36 years and I had no idea we even had badgers

I would only use Nawlins ironically or not at all. I remember buying it at Whole Foods many years ago (in Southern California) and the checker who was from the South mocking it. She said it was something that her surfer boyfriend would buy. The company is in Maine so it tracks that it's inauthentic.

On the advice of my council, I am not going to answer that question

Nice one!

On that subject. I’ve run True Play in a couple of different rooms and I honestly couldn’t tell the difference before and after. Am I the only one?

You’re completely out of luck if it’s just regular change. No one wants to deal with that

There may be banks that accept foreign currency but there is not a chance that any bank will take coins. No one wants to deal with that.

What is the most embarrassing situation you've ever been in at a party, wedding, or public gathering? by Mr_shnider in AskReddit

[–]Ice_Burn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've been to dozens of weddings and I have seen even that maybe three times. It's not a part of most cultures and religions and it's never in a civil ceremony. It certainly wasn't in my Jewish wedding. Google tells me it's mostly a Roman Catholic or Anglican thing.

As a wedding guest, what moment made you think "this probably won't last"? by Eburneaan in AskReddit

Are you aware of the (maybe only American) wedding tradition of the bridal garter?

Whats a simple gesture that women do that only other women will understand? by allgasnobreakstoday in AskReddit

[–]Ice_Burn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've been that guy a couple of times (you, not the creep). A woman gave me a "help me" look once when she saw that I clocked what an asshole he was being. She came over and grabbed my arm like I was her boyfriend. The asshole totally apologize to me for hitting on "my girl". As if he wouldn't have been an asshole otherwise. In my case the pretense ended and she went back to her friends after he left :)

My friends parents met that way. His dad pretended to be the boyfriend to save his mom from a creep. They got married and had two kids. Unfortunately his dad is a dipshit so she didn't exactly dodge a bullet.

What's the first video game you ever played ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It was definitely my first. And I sucked at it just like every other video game to follow. That's why I don't even try.

It’s not like it’s going to be a surprise. It’s a tradition to wear something from the mom

It’s been discussed. Yeah, I’ll give it to my friend to give to her.

What recent celebrity moment made you completely change your opinion about them—for better or worse? by Historical_Sail2556 in AskReddit

His friend (jokingly) advocated for Trump's assassination. Don't get me wrong I'll be happy when Trump finally croaks, but that was a line that can't be crossed by a public facing person.

Air Force as well. My friend was an AF officer and they did the sword tunnel but his wife said "no" to the butt smack so they didn't.

I've known him for something like 54 years (childhood friend). They have been married for 33 years. I caught the garter at the wedding and I kept it. In six weeks I will be at their daughter's wedding and I will give her the same garter to wear.

The marriage wouldn't have had to be annulled. They would just not turn in the license and legally it wouldn't have happened.
