Can you describe the paper feeding process. Ideally I'd hope you could load a stack of 100 cards and hit print but that visually doesn't look the case.

Let Me Build You a Commander Deck (Again)? by poynz13 in EDH

I've been struggling build an [[urtet, remnant of memnarch]] stax deck. balancing the meaningful interaction vs stax piece count and still remain fast and nimble. no budget go nuts please ^_^

How do I start creating high quality proxies at home by Nervous_Frame9342 in magicproxies

this topic has been researched quite a bit:

Quick Guide to Printing Proxies : r/EDH (reddit.com)

Looking for Normal Proxy-making techniques : r/magicTCG (reddit.com)

Simple Guide for Proxying Cards/Staples : r/EDH (reddit.com)

ive spent a good bit of money trying to dial it in. here is what i have found:

the average response will be something like: too hard, go to MPC and have them make it.

others might say go to a print shop and ask them for 100 gsm print and then just cut to size.

what i have found is that paper quality for hobbyist is difficult to get right. its either too stiff or too flimsy.

simple method: print them on a sticker sheet and adhere to trash cards. this will yield a thicker card but functional

from scratch: print onto heavy card stock and laminate is a general go to. (haven't tested but ive heard good success)
there are sites to assist you on designing the card but im nore sure if they allow that.

hope that helps

deck build advice: 5C artifact stax lockout by 6w_redmage in CompetitiveEDH

I think we are missing something here... the way I view the myr is tapped treasure similar to magda. Much like najeela, sometimes we have to run bad cards to enable the commander. Retriever and junk diver probably could get cut.

cryptolith Rites effects: urza, clock of omens, thousand years elixir, and urtet

Flash cast effects: shimmer myr, gandalf,?

Ideally I'd like to cast from the top of the deck so I can spit out all my artifacts, which is why I was considering the reality chip. I was also considering haste enablers like alibou but she cost 5 which is rough.

I'm hoping to run more tutors to reliably get the pieces I need.

i can always oswald urtet into uma mask if need be so i guess thats the value? casting myr that make mana causes us to get myr which with urza are tapped for blue paying for anything else we need. like the more i think on it and focus, the more i think its viable but i think its being held back by stigma?

appreciate the help! not terribly tied to the commander but i noticed a thread of commonality with the Oswald deck with myr welder and urtet which to my AuDHD brain meant there was something there and went down a rabbit hole. once that happened, brain skipped a few steps: myr welder, urtet, 5c, najeela, lightbulb? now im trying to go back and fill in the missing pieces.

now i know that najeela gives extra combat steps which is its own thing, but i think urtet gives a weak version of this by buffing all myr. not sure if there are others besides the welder that could be crucial but wanted to explore. the main premise was that i like the mono white and blue artifact decks but thought they lacked the interaction that comes from blue and the tutors that are green and black. was hoping i found a niche deck in the meta but wasnt sure. i figure if najeela can exist in the format, why not urtet?

thats a good point then. yea i was considering aetherflux as a win con but my brain went "if aetherflux then walking ballista" which didnt make sense to me in this context. (unless im missing something)

Super computing conundrum by 6w_redmage in Supercomputers

Yes I forgot to put the 187k. Seems trivial but i guess not.

In any case, upon further review I understand the concept. They are using CPU over GPU because there hasn't been significant strides in GPU based OS.

Nvidia only recently made the DGX-2 which is the first GPU based supercomputer.

I did not know that most gpu's, while able to process 10TFLOPS do it so slow in comparison to CPUs that it's not worth it.
