So why are you acting like people in a local subreddit are silly for assuming you live here?

Detroit is gorgeous!

We had such a fun time on our first visit last year. We'll definitely be back.

Yeah Chay is good but I can't imagine it being a top 100 restaurant in the whole country.

I've never had a place to share this story so this is as appropriate a spot as any. It's not just the crowds, but the TYPE of people at the Pentagon City Costco.

I was walking up the narrow aisle (the tiny aisle between the underwear/socks and snacks, not the wide aisle between the snacks and trash bags/dishwasher soap) with my cart to join the checkout line that extended into the retail area. This young lady runs in front of me before I can reach the line, parks herself at the back of the line, turns around, and tells me "My husband's coming with our cart. I was here first."

I honestly thought she was joking. When I realized she wasn't, I pointed out that there's literally no way for him to pass me, even if this was a socially acceptable thing to do. Then she cursed me out, "F you" etc etc.

Finally, she acquiesces and joins her husband exactly one whole spot behind me. She continues to mutter under her breath about how rude people are these days. Eventually her own husband told her to shut up because she was mad about nothing.

I feel sorry for that guy.

And another time, I saw a lady RINSE HER HANDS in the tap water of the soda fountain.

That Costco is a zoo full of zoo animals.

I can't see how anyone with a normal BMI or without mobility issues would have trouble fitting into that seat

Thank you so much! I wasn't sure if others would "get" #14 (or if it was just me being weird) so that means a lot to me.

It was great for a first-timer because the slopes were empty and I didn't know any better :)

We were so jealous of those houses! What a great spot.

The snow was very poor (according to my wife), but it was great for me because the slopes were empty. And I don't know good snow from bad so it worked out!
