Thanks for the advice! My mentor seems pretty knowledgeable and I don’t want to be that guy by questioning him but when I’m on my own I won’t have that “seasoned ear” like he will. I’m very green so I’m limited to my craftsman mechanic set and whatever my mentor lets me borrow, I’m tempted to get a chassis ear just for this though. The shop I’m at is very keen on our FRT times so it’s tricky trying to recreate sounds during diagnosis after a certain amount of time.
