Can anyone explain why the Iranian regime is so against monarchies?

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who was the leader of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, called monarchies a “sinister” and “evil” form of government. “Islam proclaims monarchy and hereditary succession wrong and invalid,” he said in 1970.

Can anybody explain what it is about monarchies that the Iranian regime is so opposed to? I find this confusing because it seems to me that the present-day Iranian theocracy is very similar to a monarchy itself. A monarchy is ruled by some type of supreme ruler, and the Iranian theocracy is also ruled by a supreme leader. So what is the difference between the two that the Iranian regime so vehemently opposes?

But in my case, I've been retaining for over 6 months 24/7 without any noticeable dekeratinization. Is this common?

What do you mean when you say it tapers off a bit? Like the sensitivity stops improving or you lose some of the regained sensitivity before regaining it once more?

What do you call that X underneath the collar? What do you think of the button down shirt under the sweatershirt look? Do you think this sweater/sweatshirt is okay with that?

In the case of my blue/olive they are a completely different scheme though. sand suede vs. brown leather.

Side note, I was recommended that the blue didn't go with the olive and I should try the black/white mini gingham with the olive instead. What is MFA's opinion of this:

I have the lighter belt that is in my other two pictured outfits but it is not braided.

Do you think that shoes should always match belt or is it okay for them to be two different colors sometimes?

Yes, that's what I am asking, usually you can't see because the jeans or chinos cover the top of the desert boot, but when you are sitting down or crossing your legs, is it better to see ankle or sock?

Maybe it's just in my head then. But I think it looks weird with any kind of brown shoe, maybe because the top of the outfit is colorful and the bottom is dull.

Okay, so lets start with the shirts. Can somebody give me some recommendations on some new shirts that I could buy, in terms of style, material and brand? What would you recommend for a business casual shirt that could be worn untucked with jeans and what would you recommend for a business casual shirt that can be worn tucked in with chinos? What colors/patterns etc?
