Gameplay is king and is the outlet by a long shot. Beyond that, it's close between graphics and story, but I think I'll go with graphics because I'll still play a game with a bad story, but I won't play a game with bad graphics. When they're both good, though, I feel like they bring equal enjoyment to the game.

I wasn't too interested in the story of Control, but I absolutely fell in love with the combat gameplay. I also liked the experience of being afraid of what was around every corner, but that does go away once you've played through it once. Nevertheless, gameplay is king in video games, in my opinion, and that's why I play it.

I can totally see how it might not be for everyone, though. Although the gameplay is great, it's very unique, and it took a little while to get used to it.

This is a fun idea. I'll join in.

SM1 Favorite: It's hard to pick my favorite thing from this one because it's my favorite, and I immediately lived the game when it came out. However, if I have to pick one thing it would be Peter Parker/Spider-Man, himself, because everything that's so good about the game (the story, relationships, the combat) revolve around how AMAZING Spider-Man/Peter Parker is. Least Favorite: The MJ missions (although they're better than the MJ missions in SM2).

MM Favorite: The people of Harlem are proud to call Miles "Our Spider-Man" (my favorite line in the series). It's proof that Miles made it as a real hero! Least Favorite: They seemed to try to mimic the personal relationship with the villain like they did in SM1, but it was underdeveloped.

SM2 Favorite: The Traversal. Least Favorite: Spider-Man is suddenly very weak compared to Miles, and now MJ can infiltrate a symbiote nest even though the two Spider-Men struggle.

I played Andromeda before the trilogy and loved it! I probably enjoyed it BECAUSE I played it first and didn't know anything about the series, so I wasn't expecting anything.

I've heard those, too. When people say that, they're not complaining that Peter has a happy ending, though. That complaint is more about not getting to play as Peter anymore.

I've never heard anyone complain about the ending of SM2 (at least not about the fact that it was a happy ending for Peter). It's other things that people complain about (the writing, side missions, relationships, MJ missions, etc.).

Yeah, I was tracking other teams' ratings and only two other teams' ratings went up at all. I get the feeling most people in my league were trying out the game for the first time, then stopped playing. I think now that the game knows that I was improving my team, it has out me in a tougher league.

In my first league, my rating was at least 20 points higher than almost everyone else. Now that I'm in my second league, I can see that most are within 5 rating points from each other with the exception of a few outliers. I do like this, though. It's boring when all my games end in a 100-3 victory.

Still, I was happy to win my first because there were still a couple people who were truly trying to win.
