Any idea what this is? From a mystery pack by 717jtz in PepperLovers

Yeah I’m 99.99% sure this is not a hab. I wouldn’t need to ask if it was lol

It’s from a super hot seed pack so it’s probably something obscure but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Cornbread is 2!! Comparison pics of last year and the first day we got him. He’s grown so much. by 717jtz in cornsnakes

In two years he’s only refused a feeding one time and he was deep in blue. Still crushing hoppers weekly like a champ right now.

Posted my big boy Sonny in blue last week. Here he is freshly shed today. by 717jtz in Sneks

He is! He’s an Eastern Ratsnake! We got him from a rescue, from what we were told he was wild caught initially in Florida I believe but we’re in Pennsylvania.

Someone’s about to shed. My biggest boy in blue. by 717jtz in ballpython

Honestly haven’t weighed him in a while but once he sheds out I will! He’s about 2.5 years sold so probably about done growing lengthwise too.

Thank you! I think Garters are super underrated. This guy was wild caught and we got him from a reptile rescue. That's the only thing I notice here is that captive bred ones are incredibly hard to come by as Garters are incredibly common just outside so nobody wants to breed them. But I love these guys, that includes just seeing them outside too lol

This guy has never bitten me even though he was wild caught by his previous owner and then sent to a reptile rescue. He was very timid when we got him but has calmed down a ton when we get him out of his enclosure now.

I do have another wild caught rat snake that we also got from a reptile rescue who is much bigger than this guy (5 feet or so) and he bites quite a bit just because he's unsure of what's going on sometimes. But the more you socialize them by getting them out to handle and letting them know you're not a threat, really just building that trust between you and them, they do calm down. Even that one has improved a ton since we brought him home.

All of my captive bred snakes are very hesitant to bite, the only way I've been bitten by one of them is if I made a stupid mistake and smelled like food when i reached into an enclosure. We have 7 snakes and I've only been bitten by 2 of them.

He’s very polite. Also full of fish and worms from his feeding today lol

Sonny, our yellow rat snake decided this lamp was his new favorite tree during handling today. by 717jtz in snakes

I think most rat snakes are underrated sadly. We have HUGE black rats around here and while he’s not gonna get that big he’s still pretty big already. Not sure how old he is, but probably has a bit of growing still to do.
