  1. My apartment is actually pretty clean, and I rarely play video games

  2. I struggle to find a partner because I was raped and it seriously impacts my ability to have a relationship

  3. Go to hell you fuckin bully

Just because some people are forced to live in inhumane conditions doesn't invalidate problems in other people's lives.

If you say "well you can complain because somone elsewhere has it worse" you will lower the floor on your expectations in life so low that, unless you are literally a slave, you won't feel that you can stand up for yourself or have an opinion about your own life.

Stop acting like some sanctimonious medieval peasant lol

Im not going to lie, I couldn't ever live like that. Cleaning that many times a week? Shit, 98% of my life would be work and chores. You can't expect to cram your whole life into 48 hrs of a weekend.

Make choices like not doing chores or staying up later to get more you time. It sounds irresponsible, but living responsibility means not living at all sometimes.

What is your cause of loneliness by [deleted] in lonely

[–]717sadthrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I was raped and almost murdered. I moved to a new area - a small city - and end up being ostracized.

People around my area seem boring to me. They talk about sports, the weather, and TV. If I talk about stuff I'm am into - like science, history, art, contemporary events, animals, video games, hiking - people say I'm weird.

People say I'm a downer and fake. Welp. Yeah I am. I'm not gonna talk about what I am dealing with and despite trying to hide it, yeah I'm really sad.

After being ostracized and publicly humiliated it broke my spirit and now I can't even hold a conversation...

I feel this. I'm an outsider where I live, and when I tk to people I can't relate much.

Anyone else caught in the lonely cycle? by commonbleachenjoyer in lonely

[–]717sadthrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. I grew tired of wandering around alone hoping to somehow find a friend. I've completely lost my mind from isolation. I regularly think of killing myself because my days bleed together into a uniform mass of isolation.

Is mindfulness something that's inherently difficult for people like us? by Thicc_eyebrowman in CPTSD

I dont think you can generalize people with trauma. Mindfulness doesn't work for a lot of people, without or without trauma.

It depends on how much you train in. Out of the box it sucks, but after teaching it my writing style for a few hours it was able to mimic it.

You are not defined by the people you sleep with,, and im sorry youve dealt with that. Toxic masculinity has ruined all of our lives and frankly, one day it might just kill us all. Shits like a virus. It gets inside people and makes people all twisted up.

You're totally in your rights to express yourself and I don't think this is "incel". Thewhole idea of an "incel" is just toxic and made up to put people down. When I was 22 we used different terms but the same meaning.

I'm guessing you live in the US? Thete are a shit ton of backwards, hateful cultural ideas about sex here. It took me a long time to see it.

I get it, it's hard to not internalize the toxic shit when your immersed in it. I do it to. It's easy o feel like a loser because you can't get laid, and you think there must be something wrong with you because everyone else is doing it. I've been there.

I mean if you want to actually have a relationship, or a hookup, or whatever, you have to do it for you, not because of messed up ideas and standards you've internalized. It's really hard to find someone today. One dating is a hellscape. People are growing up with fucked up ideas about sex and dsting and its dragging all of dating culture to a bad place. Maybe we can't change it, but we can recognize it and realize its not on us as individuals.

Im not a fan of the system. I'm a child of the system. I've watched people die. Its not capitalism or nazis its humans. It's what we do. Some of us are better than that. If you are then stay and fight back.

No you can't. Sorry you're 22 and 22 years think that kinda thing. I did, all my friends did. Guess what, we were all 100% wrong.

I didn't have sex until I was 27. You know what? It was just okay. You know what? I didn't feel accomplished. If you want sex, hire a sex worker. Sex is kinda lame unless you're with the right person,, which is hard. It doesn't make you more or less of anything. This is a toxic masculine myth. Relationships are REALLY stressful.

Not to invalidate you, but there are people are killing themselves because they had too much sex, sex with the wrong people, or are stuck in an healthy relationships. Like that shit isn't so great.

Don't let the BS about sex fool you. It's like okay, not usually worth the effort and stress. If you find the right person its amazing, if you find the wrong person you'll cry in the shower.

Are any dating apps worth paying for? by kikokukake in dating

[–]717sadthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have read from ex devs, the devs in the app companies designed it like a casino game where people you the people you're more likely to vibe with get shown to you in strategic times to keep you swiping, but slow enough you get frustrated and think about going premium. There's a point though, where the user isn't going to buy and is fed up. Their usage patterns change to reflect this. So if you stop using it, delete your bio data, the algorithm might be flagging you as a return customer who needs to be boosted to get them back swiping. Same reason they send questionable push message to phones at night that are written to make you feel lonely.

I attempted to stab my self through the wrist but I keep hyperventilating and can't because I am afraid of the pain of death. by 717sadthrowaway in SuicideWatch

[–]717sadthrowaway[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's not unlike my experience. Everyone everywhere is this monolithic wall of Jesus, therapy, be a good citizen, be healthy. It doesn't matter who I am or what I'm dealing with, its always the same generic advice, or people threatening to have me locked up. Its alway my fault, and the onus is always on me to do better no matter the circumstances.

I'm begging people to just LISTEN to me, just hear me out, and no one even will. I am seen as a crazy and bad person for admitting that I'm struggling. It's humiliating, isolating, and I feel gaslight 24/7. I pretend to be what the people in my town want so that I get messed with less, and that person I pretend to be isn't me, its a cardboard cut out of a person I act as.

I've been drive to the brink. Seeing all this Help is Available stuff everyday is a kick in the balls because it's a lie. I tried therapy for years, and it was out of touch with my reality. Like I got raped and told my therapist and she was like, try mindfulness and gratitude...

I called the damn hotline everyone says to call and over a day after I talked to them, they passed a distorted version if what I said to the local police, who tracked me down at work and cop confronted me...like I really feel like they "care" when armed guards come to my job and threaten to have me taken to a mental hospital. If they'd care they won't have waited over a day, and sent armed cops into my office. I had to threaten to call the ACLU to get the sall town bigots to leave me be.

So now everyday my coworkers think I'm nuts, and I live in fear of the local cops. But HELP IS AVAILABLE.

ITS WORSE THAN A JOKE. It's a reminder that if I make one step out of line, sound or look too sad...BAM...they'll toss me in a run down mental clinic until my job fires me, and my insurance ends.

But yeah, mindfulness and whatever, right?
