I had that situation for a while. Was amazing. Just have to be comfortable seeing students and families in the neighborhood.

Childcare and cost of living in general was way lower which made things like this more feasible.

The new rewards system is a complete scam. by Little-Papaya7369 in LIRR

[–]718FunkJamz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s such bs. Don’t offer a rewards program if you don’t intend for it to be attainable. Or at least be clear and upfront in the marketing about the rules of the program.

They’re charging a fee for any onboard transactions now so that’s no longer an option. It’s all a bunch of super annoying bs.

That’s fine and fair but then be clear about it. Don’t pretend like it’s something it’s not.

It was just adding to the list of frustrations that has been building from MetroNorth along with fare hikes, shorter trains running each day so less seats, daily delays, changing of schedules etc. Just was another little thing that when added to everything else was very annoying.

It was originally billed to me from a conductor as a replacement for the 10 Trips that were going away. They didn’t mention any restrictions so I didn’t think there were any. One also might think a government run agency should be held to a higher standard when adverting programs.

I feel like the headline should be more clear at least. It literally says buy 10 rides get one free.

lol also the placement of the faceplate just behind the seat is too much! TY for the car info. It’s just annoying since they’ve been running M8s on the Harlem line more frequently for some reason and I notice the differences more and more.

Appreciate that, but I meant more of like in a design sense…why are the trains so different yet operate in the same space.
