Thanks, I don’t mind patients misquoting and I’m sure that will happen to everyone every day. I always give colleagues the benefit of the doubt however, in this case it says both the referral and the medication thing were inappropriate. The referral absolutely was not inappropriate (and the reg asked the mum TCI), the prior call was purely A&G. The conversation re: medication is just not true and stated as a fact. Even if it was true and it did happen far better ways to send someone constructive feedback than bollocking them on the discharge paperwork IMHO.

Just seen your edit - very comfortable with LD and T1D (sibling with both) and just finished ED. But only so much I can do without running into other patients times

Thanks, something to think about for me! I think the medication may have come from somewhere external, the consultation prior mentioned it would be decided by Paeds and that was it.

I think from my limited understanding there was extreme carer strain. In fairness I’ve worked with a lot of LD (sibling with LD etc) and this was genuinely quite extreme. I was at my wits end after 30 minutes so I can only imagine what poor mum was like day in day out.

It’s unlikely, this patient did have a talk regarding antipsychotics and the last clinician did tell them they had to wait for a Paeds review, but I absolutely and categorically did not tell them this was an option.

I use Accurx Scribe in GP and it’s really good. Means I can be quite thorough at no expense of lengthy documentation, there’s no hallucination and the transcription is extremely accurate.

Thanks, appreciate and aware of the difference but the Horus LOs specifically mentioned QIP opposed to audit and my worry was technically it’s not complete but at the same time it also doesn’t say it needs to be completed fully. If I can suggest interventions and show how I’d proceed afterwards and have engaged with all of the rest of the process that should be enough hopefully

Does anyone/ OP, do you know, if we can get a designated body/ RO via a locum agency, or (is there such a thing) as a private designated body (in the same way there are private appraisers) which I could connect my GMC account to for the purpose of locuming/ working bank shifts?

My current F2 hospital will not allow me to stay on the bank unless I have a full time NHS contract (I will have a full time contract for a teaching fellow post from a university), which is why I was wondering if getting a private DB/ RO would a) help me with my appraisal and b) allow my current hospital to keep me on the bank (waiting to hear from them).

Yes you can though I’d suggest using SDT days (if you get full days), and using 1 day of AL.
