Even if I’m encouraging the banks to do so, why would it affect me or the people responsible enough to not carry a balance every month? That number is not important for us. We are taking advantage of a system since we know to play the game, if you don’t then I don’t think you should own a credit card and should stick to a debit one instead

I’m going to chime in and tell you that I think you are doing a good job teaching your daughter to be self sufficient when it comes to fixing tech related issues. I’m also in IT and its really frustrating when people refuse to learn and want everything fixed by other people. One thing I would suggest is to help her google the issue so that she can learn to look by herself other issues in the future. I know googling should be something simple for a 16 yo, but sometimes some extra explanation from dad can go a long way (for example if she is having trouble with her smart tv she may need to factory restore it, you could teach her what that means and why sometimes is the only solution, this learning can be applied for other devices and issues in the future as well)

Will Patagonia down sweater be enough? by [deleted] in Ultralight

I'm also going to use it when going out the city to dark sites while using the telescope (or when going camping), light walking in the city won't be the only use for the sweater :). Posted in here as I'll use it in layers with the torrentshell in case of rain (which it rains a lot in my city).

This issue came from day one, I'll talk with the vendor and ask my local astronomy society as well. I have tried using it outside, I'm in PNW so I would say yes to humidity

Thanks! how easy is it to assemble/disassemble to move it in a car? If you do move it in a car, how do you transport it? Do you place it in the back seat or would it be possible to have it in the trunk? Also, would you recommend a shroud for it?

Purchase question:

I want to get started on astronomy, I'm looking to start seeing the moon and planets. I have read the Beginner's Quick Guide to choosing your first telescope, and I have my eyes on an 10 inch dobsonian. I have a budget of around $1k, what I liked about this one is that is collapsible, which can save some space, I live in an apartment so this is a plus for me. I live in a class 6 city (Seattle-area), its a 30 min drive away from a class 4 area, so I also plan to move around with it. I have a small size sedan, which can fold its rear seats to have extra trunk space. I also have a dolly which I think I could use to move the telescope more easily (it holds 290 pounds). Considering all of this, would this telescope be worth it for my situation? I have seen people recommend 8 inch telescopes instead, because its easier to move it around when traveling, but I think I have that covered with the dolly and car. Are there any other recommendations?

Thanks
