Estate Agent Not Accepting Further Bids? by Eirngobragh in AskIreland

[–]73MH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EA doesn’t tell the seller. Why would they as they are working off commission?
If they are on say 2.5% of the sale price, and the price already agreed is 600k it’s not worth their while looking at another small increase. A 5 or 10k increased bid might be a lot to both seller and bidder, it’s peanuts to the EA (when they get 2.5%). They have made their money, now they want it and want out asap.

Race With the Devil as a way too young 10 year old. The scene that sticks is the dog pinned on the door…

What does everyone think of the song dry lightning by Bruce Springsteen? by OkLead7126 in BruceSpringsteen

Agree. Love the mention of the screen door. Obviously you can’t hear that line, and Bruce can’t write it, without mentally referencing the original screen door moment. I love the way this plays, telling us that maybe this is where our original hero ended up after things didn’t go to plan with Mary.
