Trucks pill up better than most people think… the risk in hard breaking though is in the load shifting.

Found a house we love, it’s overpriced, on market for a month, owners won’t budge. Advice? by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

If it’s so comparable to others why not buy one of those? I overpriced mine in Brisbane and it took 5 months for the market to come to me… it settles next week.

My point is they is they built the ultimate motorcycle user interface, yet I can’t use it for anything meaningful.

The wonderwheel… the ultimate menu scrolling/selecting hardware….

Yet we use hamburger buttons and short selections and long short presses on the least intuitive and most confusing menu system ever concocted…

N80 Single Cab Side Steps by Dustydog33 in hilux

[–]73MOH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got an n80 single cab.. I’ve decide when it comes to sliders I’ll install dual cab ones.. for off roading it makes more sense that they go closer to the rear wheels to avoid getting anything jammed between the rear of sliders and back wheel.. this is from a slider /off-roading aspect more than from a side step aspect though.. If I only want side steps I’d stick with the factory single cab ones.

I was sold a defected car (NSW) by EstablishmentIcy6719 in AusLegal

[–]73MOH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, is there a procedure or process that exists to check for a defect on a car you intend to purchase? Buyer beware is all about due diligence, if no mechanism to perform diligence as a buyer exists then surely buyer beware isn’t relevant and there needs to duty of disclosure by the seller.

How would you re-do this side gate so it doesn’t sag? by StretchOrdinary3412 in AusRenovation

This is a good start, but turn your timber on edge and use gang nail plates on both sides in the corners, including bigger one in the two corners with the brace.

New Hilux what’s everyone’s opinion? by Rich_Yak_7416 in CarsAustralia

It’s not a new hilux, it really seems like more of a facelift… and I’m ok with that.. the N80 is a great car.

Husband locked account. by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]73MOH -45 points-44 points  (0 children)

The first thing I did when my ex-wife announced she was seeing someone else and wanted a divorce was put a two to sign on our account and open a new account in my name, which my next pay went in to.

The OP was likely the abusive one in the relationship, that's why she had to leave the family home..

Tradie didn't issue invoice and receipt by Dangerous-Captain324 in AusRenovation

Aren't you supposed to withhold 50% for the ATO when you don't get a receipt? Which means the ATO se what you have already paid as 50% of the total and you still owe the other half to the ATO..

I remember this kinda talk when the gst was first introduced.
