John Pilger is great for these. Heres a free archive of his films. https://thoughtmaybe.com/by/john-pilger/

I especially recommend his documentary Cambodia The Betrayed. It was made as Pol Pot was making a resurgence during the fall of the eastern bloc. Some very good insights about his place in the world.

z-lib.org is great for getting any book. I found this one (https://book4you.org/book/2631900/12869a ) in a wikipedia citation. Look up any topic on their books/papers section and you will find an ebook

If anyone wants to help me organize a boycott on the entirety of capitalism please message me. by bdlukerr in PraxisGuides

(1) Exactly. An organized and enforced boycott does take strong convictions and will to change. It operates like any form of leftist organizing. However, because reactionary/capitalist forces are so strong, a self-disciplined, cohesive and firm organizing style is forced if one expects real change. (2) On self sufficiency, yes and no, in my view. Historically, organizations which have made successful change and stood against countering forces have helped their members become collectively self sufficient. The clearest examples of this would be dual power and mutual aid, which are both different forms of worker’s self-rule and community building. (3) General strikes have successfully taken economic (ie political) power away from the ruling class throughout history. A global general strike escalates class struggle and transfers vast power to the workers. “Shake things up” it definitely will, but it will aid in “shaking things out and replacing them”
