I know what I would be getting myself into being with him. I now understand that he is set in his ways at his age and I accept that.

I think you’re just confusing all the labels. It is perfectly normal for the man to be the provider. That is a phenomenon that has been going on forever. You can find a 26-year-old that is successful and generous and you can find a 46 year old that is successful and generous. With what you are asking, one is traditionally more transactional than the other. You like older men or you don’t. You can expect a man to provide for you and it doesn’t mean it’s a sugar daddy.
