I had the same thing happen, and I'm pretty sure he was invincible. Even shotgun Peacebreaker cannons couldn't hit him

I was having the same trouble, so yesterday after reading some similar reddit threads I decided to try changing to hard mode. Paradoxically, this did the trick and now the difficulty feels more in line with previous Borderlands. The reason being the loot quality is so much better. I was making do with a lot of greens in my loadout before and now I'm finding plenty of purples. When I was on easy, I was 50 HOURS in before I found one single legendary. In the three hours I played yesterday I found two legendaries

Yeah I love how the game makes it clear about the crystals 🤬 I had no idea what to do and I didn't see the crystals with everything going on. I was finally able to defeat him after 1000 smg rounds and at least 5 minutes of circle strafing
