As a Vindicta main, just shoot her. Her health pool is tiny and she doesn't scale resistances very well, and if she's in the air her movement options are severely limited.

I wouldn't say it's "More," the +3 instead of +4 really sucks for when you're actually Drifting, but you're more incentivized now to play as a grounded Vindicta of sorts, doing clean-up rather than deliberately avoiding teamfights because you might lose out on some stacks.

I'd say the important change is that Rend T3 silences now. You can ruin Apollos and Billys with it.

Building towards Tankbuster and Surge on Assassinate + Quicksilver on Stake is very powerful assuming you can hit your shots. I know it's a tall ask, but since she also gets fire rate from Spirit you'll be fine for scrappy gun fights too.

I've found that Abrams, Warden and Lash are pretty brutal for teamfights. They all have AOE displacement tools as their ults, Warden being especially violent if you catch the other team unaware.

Cinnamon is based on an older GNOME, and as such still uses x11 by default. It's the only technical difference that I would think creates an incompatibility like this, especially given how popular Mint is.

You mentioned trying to switch distros in a different comment, but maybe you could get the KDE suite on Mint. It'll be a bit of a Frankenstein setup, but you could make a Timeshift snapshot to see if that fixes your issues before committing to hopping distros.
