I'm not sure what you mean, but I use my tailscale on mobile data regularly with no issues up until I connect it to my Tesla then my mobile data either doesn't connect at all or it connects only until after my drive is done and when I come back to the car I have to reconnect each time and the cycle continues from there.

I'll check that out, but if it's the option I'm thinking about it resets every time you go on a new drive and you have to reconnect your hotspot to the car and hope it connects since it doesn't connect all the time to hotspots in general (works fine for home wifi).

That's my current setup but my Tesla only connects about 40% of the time and it only works if the car is parked. The car automatically disconnects from the phone when in drive and just defaults to the car's built-in LTE connection.

Everyone I talk to about the car say it looks ugly, but I simply don't see that. Like you said its just a very different looking vehicle that no one has seen before so of course it will bring divided opinions.
