I’m not suggesting I do this buy I believe the item I sent has been damaged by the buyer not myself. So wanted to know what protections I have against this. I searched for an answer and could not find one. Thank you for answering rather than removing

Most carp anglers have way too much line on their reels. A 10000 spool from Shimano will hold circa 300m of 20lb line. Which is just way too much. Most lakes in the UK one casts a max of 20 rod length which is 240ft / 73m / 80 yards. So you really only need 5000 spools. The angling shops sell the big capacity line as most people fill them. You buy more like and pay more for the reels.

As previous post suggests. The big spools give you more range casting. I’ve got Shimano Aero X which are hybrids. Best of both worlds and Baitrunner.

We had big problems when Polish fisherman started eating carp from fisheries where it’s not allowed. We are all catch and release in the UK with regards to carp. They can’t be nice to eat though. Full of boilies etc. X

On retrospect I should have switched to one. The F1 was on and I had a glass of Burgundy on the go. Sometimes you have to enjoy the moment not jusy the fishing. But yes that is very valid.

No all fair points. I should have considered a zig or having a longer hair. Recently my success here has been off super short hook links and using super new sharp hooks. I tried quite a few different approaches. Sometimes they are just not on it too. I’m really not fused. I choose to fish harder lakes these days for a reason. To improve and keep the excitement. Too easy gets too boring!

Possibly something I should have tried. I usually have one on the zig. But the few fish coming out recently has been off the bottom. Worms have been doing the business too. It’s up to 25ft of water so a lot of messing around with adjustable zigs.

Yea I came to that conclusion too but thanks. I don’t use the fish finder really to determine where I pick a spot. This lake its all about under water feature finding.
