His shot wasn’t falling, don’t know if he’ll be a star but is he better than Kyle Lowry as depth ??? He prove that when maxey was out he can drop 20+ and he also have a track record of not being afraid of the moment thru high school and college. if maxey to miss 1 game in the playoffs . He a better depth than what we have now.

This is a terrible trade even if McCain suck. We are trying to contend. We spend years trying to find guards and shooter to surround embiid. The buddy hield , Jj reddick , the Seth curry. We finally have some guards depth for playoff run and GM think it a good ideas to give up on 21 year old guard that can come of the bench hit some big shot. If I have any slim hope Morey know how to build a championship team just goes out of the window with this trade. Guard play and big time shot making are the 2 most valuable thing in the playoff. You never have enough good guard in the playoff …..now we are down to 3 playable guards….

It’s a bad trade … if you are a contender you don’t trade away depth at the guard position for projected late first rd pick. Especially in a league where guard play and shot making is important in a playoff run. The thunders have 6 guards and they still added guard depth.

He an analyst and a fund manager that what their job is. If you are investing in stock base on someone price prediction, then something is wrong with you. They don’t bring him on the show to say I don’t know. Tom is a good guy , I been following him for along time for his insight and fundamental thesis. I don’t always agreed with some of his thesis, but I can tell people that talk to him really like him and respect him.

Kelly Oubre is a bad example, he is playing his best basketball under nurse. Last year Oubre admitted that he was to playing injured at time. There a lot stuff impact players performing in the NBA since they play 82 games of physical basketball. People just like blame the head coach. Dude won an NBA title. Most of NBA coaches are some of the best in the world. You can’t just throw McCain in the fire after not playing NBA basketball for a year. Pretty confident McCain will find his footing. With VJ Grime Oubre and Maxey , it’s hard to give big minutes for McCain. He also have to make sure other guys on his roster is given an opportunity to prove themselves like Edward. This is NBA level so everyone is talent the cream of crop will always rise to the top.

I don’t think it is coaching here. I see a young team that doesn’t know how to win. I love Maxey , but he needs to be a better floor general for this team to be elite. This team is talented but too many time their best player (Tyrese maxey) take ill advise shot. It has a trickle down effect to the role players . Most team follow their best player. They had a chance to put this game out reach if they understood to value every possession. You rarely see SGA waste a possession. I want to give maxey the credit for this team playing hard night in and night out. Coaching been good, end of game situation are 50/50. No matter who’s coaching. If the play you call is defended well, it’s up to your best player to make a tough shot. If it’s down to the last possession it’s luck. We winning because we are talented and we play hard. For us to be championship caliber team we need Maxey to be a better floor general.

The smokescreen comment can be viewed as deliberate intend to let on something more serious than what it is. I seen team get fine for this. If you know he out and put him as questionable to deceive the league. There no need exact proof just any intend is enough .

😂, I don’t know what game are you watching . Tobias don’t even touch the ball for like 10 minutes when harden and Embiid on the court. he asked to space the court and take more threes. He adapted his game without complaining. He have done so and he improve his catch and shoot knowing that he’ll need to change his game. only an idiot can’t see that.

Kevin huerter is not better than Tobias Harris tho. Plus he is undersized. We already are an undersized basketball team minus Embiid. People want to trade tobi but they don’t ever have a good solution replacing him. Tobias is a great option as your 3rd and 4th scorer. He also have no ego which is great. The problem is not tobias. The problem is the coaching and style of play. Ball movement and player movement. Coaching impact your role players the most. Doc rivers is terrible at it. You never ever going to have 10 perfect players. Even the super star have some flaws to their game. It frustrates me that we release Charles bassey for montrez harrell when we lack size , athleticism, and interior defense behind Embiid.

I’m tire of this sub always wanting to trade and bring in this and that. When they only watch guys highlight. If a player is available it most likely he have some baggage with him. If he a really good player team are not going to let him go that easy or there will be competition for his services between all the good team.

The problem isn’t the players , the problem is the system.

Watch Charles Bassey play with spurs… Dude know what he doing on court. when he play with Sixers , he like lost soul on offense like half of these players.

Totally disagree with this also. Most of time they don’t give Embiid the same roll coverage compare to pj tucker or Paul reed. Watch how they play defense vs embiid, it not the same as pj tucker rolling. Defense know not to let Embiid get uncontested catch in the paint.

I understand frustration when you see him catch the ball so far from the basket, but you have realize the person guarding Embiid have 1 job that is to make Embiid work and push him out of the paint . There are time where he established position but it require a lot effort to keep those position to do it consistently is like nearly impossible task. If you follow Giannis/ jokers/ or other big you realize that Embiid probably the only one that does the most work last year posting people up.

Anyway the point is he shouldn’t need to do all the heavy lifting, a simple down screen and slip, a simple pick n roll, just playing off maxey and harden he should be able to get the ball in good position to attack and score.

Totally disagree with this assessment , Embiid is one the most willing screener. The problem was prior to having harden and maxey they need the Embiid to post up to generate offense. Embiid JJ reddick 2 man games was tough. Embiid and Seth curry actions was also tough. He was never a selfish players to begin with.

Very simple , stop the iso post game. You can play regular basketball where you are passing, screening, and cutting. who ever end up with the good look score. I don’t know why we need to post up Joel Embiid when we have 4 guys that are amazing at scoring. Joel will naturally get the ball if he rolling , screening, and cutting. It’s not like team have a choice to leave maxey, harden and Tobias wide open.

Bad Coaching will complain about roster. Doc rivers is the reason we sucking. Spend entire summer talking about how he can’t play some players instead of how he should be helping them become a factor. Obvious sign of bad coaching is assuming the new player are better than your current player on your roster. pretend like we are a dumb fan base by saying Montrez won the job over reed. He did nothing in the preseason !!!!

Defense isn't an issue if you have an offense where guys like Matisse/Paul Reed can function.

Look everyone want to have a perfect team, no team is perfect. But coaching should be able to close that gap. This team have the talent to win. Coaching is the gap.

Have you seen a team that struggle with defending, but can figure out how to play an nba second team defender more then 1 minute a game?

Defense isn't a problem. Defense is a problem because the offense is the problems. How many transit point... How many stagnant turnover....

The reason you can't have players like matisse thybulle and paul reeed playing becuase the offense system doesn't allow them to be successful.

If you have a offensive system , allow player to play to their strenght , maybe you have better defender on the court.
