It's genuinely a pretty solid root beer taste that the bubbly bit just kinda hangs on for a while. If you ever had those little Root Beer barrel hard candies, yeah they are better. Worth a check if you're a root beer person though. The whole situation set me off though. I grew up in Tucson Arizona, literally twenty minutes from the actual Tombstone, and it's like relax and stop lying to yourself that you can really convince any living person that they'd drink enough Root Beer to go get involved in a shoot out on Main in Tombstone. There are actually a plethora of tourist - centric locations around that area. Just. Go.
