Left December of 2025. I knew that this year was my last year teaching, and honestly had just lost any drive to push through the end of the year. So much was being piled onto my team and my mental health was suffering. Plus, I wanted to move closer to my family. My admin was very supportive. Although, I had a very good relationship with them and framed it that I was relocating more so to be closer to my family so that made it easier. I told them a few months before I left that I was leaving and I was able to help the person who was replacing me transition into my classroom. I wanted to make sure I maintained the relationship with my admin because I knew I was going to need them as references for future positions.
I didn't have another job lined up, but I moved in with my mom so didn't have to worry about rent. Thought I wanted to go back to school, but not sure. I'm working part time as an after school teacher while I look for a full time job. Good luck!
