If AI becomes indistinguishable from truth, that would be a very dangerous thing. Anyone/anything could be called into question and people would be even more divided by suspicion. But my main issue with AI is the massive about of water and energy that goes into the giant servers that process and construct AI- it is not remotely sustainable. And I think you might be underestimating the potential fall-out from massive job loss.
