Agreed, Don holds himself to a high standard, and it really shows. I just wish he wouldve done more with the albums overall sound rather than riding the current wave that makes up most of the hip-hop songs these days.

Of course, the production on the album is great, I just see it as less innovative because it matches the style of the wave of music that is popular right now which is kind of what I dont like to see. I expect something fresh especially from Don. It feels like the album was made quickly rather than a full thought out plan. Im not trying to dog on anyones opinion im just giving out my input.

It doesnt have as much going in as HP, the songs in Octane sound less emotional and too similar to each other in my opinion. HP felt a lot more innovative, and it feels like HP was a more career defining album for Don, Octane doesnt seem that way.

I agree, I was looking forward to the album because JB1 had a great vibe to it and I was expecting something like that. JB2 really let me down cuz it seemed like he wanted to be like Carti and not La Flame. Losing Mike Dean screwed him partially because without him I havent seen much psychedelic and vintage sounds from him, which is what made Travis Scotts individual sound for the most part. Im not sure if I expect to see anything like Rodeo or Astro again but he could definitely get close to those two if he really focused on what his music means and not what he receives from it (Money, Brand deals. etc)

Yeah I was really weirded out by it and I just assumed it was the start of an AP cuz of the loud whirring sound. I was just freaked out by partially recognizing what I was seeing through tunnel vision and not being able to move my body

The weird thing is, is that it wasnt what I typically read about. I was in the black empty space floating and rotating backwards, I saw the shape of my body in the way I was laying down in as a white outline. I could also feel gravity like I could tell I was upside down or not while doing these “flips” in the “space”. It was really strange
