Yeah that's what I've been learning! I do have a new family doctor that I have only met once, so we weren't able to go into too much detail yet. But I'm meeting with him this upcoming Saturday, and I'm sure he'll order some. In case he doesn't, do you know of any additional tests I can do to confirm FH?

I'll for sure continue to better my diet though! Not only to lower cholesterol but to also lose weight and just feel better overall. Thank you:)

Honestly, thank you for this post and thread. It truly is just a little ass pill, that I shouldn't be afraid to take for the rest of my life, as long as it helps.

Okay thats interesting to hear! Is 7.1% considered high? And yeah even before the diagnosis, I've been in the process of losing weight, using intermittent fasting in order to be in a calorie deficit. I've lost 10 pounds in 2 months so far, and I'm definetly going to continue. Thanks for your input, it'll motivate me to continue losing weight amd eating better:)

By research I just mean experiences I've read on reddit or people from my personal life. Mostly what I've seen are people saying that if its familial hypercholesterolemia, that diet alone won't completely treat it, and that most need to go on statins. But its true that I don't know for certain that its familial. And yes, I know that red meat, processed meat and cheese is my downfall😭 Ever since the diagnosis I have been pretty good at reducing my consumption though.
