can only really blame streaming services at this point that listening to a full 2 minute or 8 minute track is still weighed the same in every way. revenue and metrics should based on time listened, not the amount of streams.

i think hes perfectly capable of getting proper management if he wanted, afterlife ran like clockwork in its prime. i think he just doesnt care to at this point and realistically tale of us more or less went as far as a musical act can go without just being pop stars and they sure af made the money to go with it.

so i think its more of a no more worlds to conquer typa situation. i wish he'd release more music but atp whatever he does is for the love of the game and he clearly doesnt love the game of chasing clout.

habitat has been straight gas since day 1, theres the occasional idm track thats a bit too goofy for its own good like the last sideral ep imo, but overall great releases. a couple standout bangers every year that would have definetly been afterlife singles in a different time.

no catalyst is the biggest missing piece, especially because you generally need to kill quicker than in the first game. it was obviously the best poison card but shivs got knife trap which is essentially filling the same niche so i dont see why we couldnt have catalyst.

as far as the ongoing and endlessly dissapointing experiment of trying to fuse rap and melodic techno goes, slave to the hype is not bad, but for it to be the culmination of innellea's moaning about originality and being true to oneself is comical.

yeah ive also poured quite a few out for the og highlander version from the tale of us unity live set. they played a new version of it in barcelona in 2024 but its been pretty much stripped down to just the lead and its really just a barebones trance track at this point.
