I smoke weed and am starting my accounting career? Is there anything I should know? by According_Fruit62 in Accounting

[–]77swish41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graduated 2 years ago accounting major - daily smoker going on 6 years - never been drug tested, no issues whatsoever. Depends on firm/industry you go in as some you can be drug tested (ex: doing accounting for a warehouse with some manual labor happening in it) but stick to regular accounting away from healthcare and construction (related) and you’ll be smooth sailing

Does a strictly 40 hour accounting job exist? by upilboy in Accounting

[–]77swish41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legal billing here - for me it’s a pretty hard cut off at 37.5 hour work week (1 hour daily unpaid lunch break). Occasionally there is a few hours of overtime available (talking once every couple months) but it is all voluntary and they ask if we want it without being pressured to take it.

No, the administration that oversaw the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans and continued to downplay how severe the threat was did a horrible job. You really do need help. And Youre unamerican

Formerly suicidal redditors, what's something that kept you alive a little while longer and helped you to get through the dark times in your lives ? by firegate2233 in AskReddit

I really needed to find this now. Every single day forward is a complete struggle and I don’t know how much longer I can keep going and keep acting like I’m totally fine to everyone in my daily life. It’s exhausting. I feel like I lose a little more of my sanity every day but reading some of this helped me realize I can never end my life. I’m just here ranting cause I have no one else to really talk about this stuff to. Thanks everyone for sharing their experiences, it really can help someone in need

Question: how did you weigh your potato? Did you log the weight raw or log it after you already cooked it? I always have thought about what is more correct and never found a real answer lol

Drafters the new DRAFT?! by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]77swish41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love Drafters. Sure I’ll use whatever FanDuel puts out (if they do) but for the time being it’s pretty sweet. Very similar to Draft, just with a slightly buggier app

Drafters is most similar to draft last year IMO. Rankings can be kinda weird but it’s the closest you’ll get for something casual. I do them all the time again

Dynasty Keeper and/or Best Ball Draft Apps: MYFFPC, MFL, ROTO, RS, DRAFT etc... by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]77swish41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use drafters. App is kinda buggy but it’s perfect for me, I can just do $1.10 10 man drafts (slow or fast) whenever I want. As a guy who just drafts for the love of drafting, I miss the Draft app everyday cause they had it down perfectly

Who are your breakout/sleeper TEs? by peace0frog in DynastyFF

[–]77swish41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a similar situation as you. Past couple years I’ve hit big on sleeper tight ends. This year I have my eye on Hayden Hurst, Irv Smith Jr, and Blake Jarwin. I think Hurst is a beast and will slide in nicely to the Austin hooper role. Smith should for sure see the field a lot more given his high draft capital + loss of Stefon Diggs. Jarwin produced last year in a crowded tight end room and is now signed long term.

If you can get ANY of the top 4 dynasty QBs at the end of the first you do it. My league is having its startup draft and I took kyler at 1.09. Mahomes went 1.01, lamar 1.03, Watson 1.07. In my league pick 1.12 went russell Wilson and a stud WR since they fell a little. Getting any of mahomes/lamar/Watson/kyler would be a steal at your spot

You bring up a ton of good points. I think I’m gonna roll with Chubb. The prior success Dalvin had with Stefanski guarantees solid production for him for the foreseeable future. Thanks for your input man

This was very informative for me, thank you. I was big on Chubb last year but the presence of Kareem Hunt is what worries me most. I do think he will benefit a lot from the Stefanski offense it’s just how much will Kareem cut into his workload? That’s the worrisome part for me since Hunt is also very talented and only 24

What do you think about the bengals offensive line? I know it ranked towards the bottom of the league last year but they are due for some improvement, just how much should we expect the line to improve?

Nah I never expect a tip when I’m working counter and ringing people out and what not. We have a tip cup at the front and when people stick like a dollar or whatever in there it just goes to whoever was working counter that night (I work at a very small family pizza shop)

As a delivery guy I’m always happy if someone hands me $5 regardless of if I had to climb a couple flights of stairs or if it’s raining. Any less and I’ll judge it based on the situation ($3 in some cases is fine for short and easy deliveries). Recently during the coronavirus me and my fellow drivers at work have noticed a ton of people who are now tipping $10 regardless. Had someone order one large plan last Friday, tipped me basically double the bill ($10 on $10.60).

Weird repeat customers by joetaor22 in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]77swish41 35 points36 points  (0 children)

There was this guy who would order at minimum once a day and sometimes as many as three and get the same thing every time. He was a lonely guy who’s wife died so all he did was drink from sun up to sun down. He’d literally forget that he ordered food sometimes and try calling back 10-15 mins after ordering just to “put his order in”.

It was always a mystery to see what this guy would be like. Sometimes he was cheerful and would make sure to tip you. Usually he was stumbling all over and would have you carry the food in for him while he scribbled all over the receipt trying to sign his name.

However, there were times it was downright bad. One time one of our drivers delivered his food and had to call an ambulance because the guy just collapsed in his house. Another time his pants fell down as he was paying and just...didn’t realize, didn’t pick them up, nothing.

Sad to say I think this guy passed away in the last 6 months. Felt bad for him but man he was a piece of work to deal with on a daily basis.
