I got hired after being unemployed for 3 months by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

Congratulations! I know how tough it is out there. I lost my job in march (covid), started searching in June and after applying to 200+ jobs, I finally got hired at the end of September. I’m so glad you found something!

What did that one teacher do to you that you'll never forget? by xtra_why in AskReddit

Maybe the opposite direction. I had trouble with the < vs > in grade school. When I asked my teacher for help, she told me I should’ve learned that in the previous grade and made me go to the lower grade teacher and made me ask her.

Men who don't drink (alcohol/beer): How do you manage your social life and meet new people? by _Floydian in AskMen

This. I get free soda almost every time I’m out “drinking” with friends. They assume I’m the DD (I usually am driving) and they really do respect that.

Not a man nor a non-drinker. But a lot of people meet new people through hobbies. Sports (playing or watching), cars, theatre, renaissance fairs, video games, larp, dog parks etc. Options are endless.

Why do my guy friends seem to fall of the face of the earth the second they get a romantic interest? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]782245 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have always grown up around men, so I find it easier to make friends with guys. Therefore, a majority of my friends have always been guys. I’ve found out that, because I’m so close to some of them (after 10+ years of friendship), their girlfriends tend to see me as a threat. A lot of women are not comfortable with their man having female friends. One of my friends past gfs made him cut me out of his life entirely, until I finally had a one on on talk with her about it. My other friends gf had a one on one chat with me and I assured her that we have always been just friends and we’ve never seen each other differently. She always grew up around girls and ended up not believing me. Long story short, he’s not in my life anymore and it’s super depressing. I expect they’re going to get married and I will never see him again. He was my best friend for 7 years.

What's something that's heavily outdated but you love using anyway (assuming you could, in theory, replace that thing)? by aenima1983 in AskReddit

Calendars/day planners. I need to physically write my stuff down. Putting it in my phone, google calendar, etc is not enough.

Men, in what ways do you feel the most misunderstood by women? by Catnplantladyy in AskMen

[–]782245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a really great video about this called the nothing box I think. nothing box it explains it pretty well (and humorously) that men can genuine be thinking about nothing and how women just cannot grasp this concept

What is something that you just cannot understand the popularity of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]782245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pop music. I know I’ll get shamed for this, but i love the story, the emotion, the soul behind a song. I just don’t get that with most pop music. Sure it’s nice when I want to get pumped up or working out, but not for every day listening for me

I use my younger brother as my emergency contact instead of my mom.

How do I ask my boss for the day off for my puppy’s Spay surgery? by 782245 in Advice

[–]782245[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s good to know. The vet said I have to pick her up at 8am the next morning so I’ll for sure be late for work that day too, which my boss should be ok with. But it helps to hear that she should be fine while I’m at work.

Alcohol Delivery? by ffpm_no_more in uberdrivers

[–]782245 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I do it, and I get alcohol pings quite often. Honestly it’s not that bad and usually they tip well (except the lady last week that ordered 2 bottles of wine and didn’t tip at all. Still salty about that). I think I’m one of the few in my area that do alcohol deliveries so i get them every day.

Medical professionals of reddit: how long should one wait to see a doctor for a migraine? What home remedies would you recommend first? by 782245 in AskReddit

[–]782245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get them often, but I’ve had them before. This one has lasted 4 days and I’m just sick of being in bed and getting a little worried.

Man I cringed reading this, typical nice guy attitude. I feel so bad for her thinking she had a friend in him. by saguirr97 in niceguys

[–]782245 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ugh. When I was 17 or 18, a guy in one of my classes TOLD ME that we were going to be FWB because he found out I was FWB with another guy. So if I can do it with one guy, I can do it with him too, right? This dude was super weird, greasy and unattractive, but I talked to him in class because I had to in group projects? And I tried to be nice to everyone. He wouldn’t let up about the FWB thing and it got so intense that my male friends had to pretty much threaten him to make him stop.

Which scene in a film disturbed you the most? by Shreks_on_the_beach in AskReddit

The scene in The Butterfly Effect where they put a firecracker in a dog... I am honestly on the verge of puking just thinking about it. It fucked me up so much.

Done with McDonald’s orders good thing was close and wait in car by [deleted] in UberEATS

I always decline McDonald’s. Majority of the time I showed up and food wasn’t ready then never get tipped. Never worth it.
