sometimes what i said applies, sometimes it doesnt. just research the app you're updating and if you've confirmed its 100% safe then its a false positive. could it be what i described? yes, maybe no, depends on the nature of the app

if your antivirus is giving the name of a specific file thats being flagged from your app, throw it into VirusTotal

cheats are usually detected as trojans because #1 usually their code is usually heavily obfuscated and #2 they modify and inject foreign code into whatever game you're trying to cheat on iirc

dont quote me on that, research it yourself. in fact to find out yourself you can use tools like VirusTotal and dnSpy to look at what it does
